That's the person with the headset who keeps your live shows, like the Oscars and Grammys, on schedule. It's a fascinating career, and Amanda talks about how she broke into the business, its pros and cons, and what it's like being a woman in a male-dominated field. Bonus: She has a soothing voice, so if you're having trouble sleeping, you can recycle the episode for bedtime.

Shelby and Amy wanted to find out why, so Shelby did some research to deliver the ridiculous and antiquated reasons women are discouraged from the craft. Amy tells us about Yumi Chiba, a badass lady sushi chef, pushing the boundaries of tradition.
On this week's episode, Shelby talks with former comic and current business owner, Risa Barash. For all of the parents out there, you may already be familiar with her hygiene products for teens and preteens: TBH Kids and Fairy Tales Hair Care. Risa was doing the New York comedy circuit when she stumbled upon a great product to help prevent kids from getting lice. It took some hustling, but she eventually built herself, and her family, a million dollar business. Plus, she's a lot of fun to talk to.
