Our guest today is already a seasoned expert at change, despite only being in her early 20s.Just before her freshman year of college in 2019, Shyne Webster created her business, Designed by Shyne - a passion project turned clothing brand. But as her business acumen grew, she transitioned into a full-time brand design freelancer and eventually agency owner, offering brand strategy, 1:1 coaching, and even teaching workshops on innovation and design thinking. After previously pivoting her solo practice into an (anti)agency in 2021 - a concept explained later in the episode - she recently decided to revert back to her freelancing roots while cutting her client work to only six hours a week and testing new service packages that she hasn’t offered before. In this case study, Shyne gives us a realistic account of how she’s consistently maintained financial stability while exploring evolving passions and new business models. Discover what data prompted her latest pivot, how she's redefining her work to find excitement and personal fulfillment, and the financial baseline she recommends for making drastic moves of your own.View the transcript for this episode at: https://otter.ai/u/-x2i-XHSYmmKQa4PsmrILzLRN7c?utm_source=copy_urlConnect with Shyne:https://designedbyshyne.comhttps://instagram.com/designedbyshynehttps://linkedin.com/in/designedbyshynehttps://tiktok.com/@designedbyshyneIconic business leaders all have their own unique genius. This sister duo turned a dream and a shoestring budget into a trade show triumph!Picture this: Becca Stern and her sister Jess invested $25,000 AUD of their savings to start their business, Mustard Made - a line of colorful vintage inspired lockers with a cult following and celebrity fans. They took a big risk right off the bat, deciding to test the viability of their new business at a trade show with only a few product samples on hand. If they received a few orders to validate their proof of concept, they’d keep building. If the trade show proved a lack of product market fit, they would cut their losses early. What happened next was beyond their wildest expectations - over $200,000 AUD in orders poured in, smashing their two-year projections in one weekend!Today, Becca is taking us behind the scenes of their trade show success, including exactly what they spent their bootstrapped budget of $25K on for maximum returns, how they designed a standout booth experience to attract buyers, and the creative teaser they used to put their then-unknown brand on people’s radar pre-event. If you’re building a consumer brand and selling through in-person activations at trade shows, markets, or events, this episode is a blueprint for you. Even if you solely sell digital products, this is a master case study in grassroots marketing and brand building you’ll find new ideas from.View the transcript for this episode at: https://otter.ai/u/mDmZ_WFbZxHJ_IP1UQLKqP2C_ts?utm_source=copy_urlConnect with Becca:https://mustardmade.cohttps://tiktok.com/@mustardmadelockershttps://instagram.com/mustardmadeIconic business leaders all have their own unique genius. What strategies are actually working for Instagram audience growth in 2023? Today’s case study features Instagram expert and business coach Mya Nichol, who gained an impressive 70,000 new followers in 6 months between January 8 and July 8 of this year! Mya reveals why she cut her posting volume in half this year, her winning ways to keep viewers on your video for longer watch times, and three other key strategies she’s experimenting with in real-time so you can borrow her best performing ones. From a humble start of 2,000 or so followers a few short years ago to now cresting almost 280,000 followers, Mya is honest about what it takes to both succeed (and fail enthusiastically) in an ever-changing Instagram landscape and why you can still see significant growth in 2023 with the right approach. I'm still binge listening this podcast and so far I love it, but not a fan of the new format she decided to go with. the "lightning round questions" so are irrelevant to the podcast, I've been skipping through them. I liked the old format she had been using. like I said I'm still binge listening so hopefully the more I catch up the better it gets or she goes back to the old format. before the "new format", I was enjoying the informative guests and subjects and the advice for new entrepreneurs such as myself. So I'm rating this podcast 3 stars for now and then I'll update after I catch up all the way
woah. Ellen Yin is hot as fuck! 🔥
