In this episode I talk about what I plan on doing to grow my list of local residents.  My podcast Good Morning Gwinnett is a local podcast about things happening in and around the county in which I live.  I want to create more visibility for my business by leveraging the power of podcasting and one way to do that is to create a list of the folks who are listening.  Up until now I had a sign-up form on my site that is just now converting into leads, so I'm going to move in a new direction with how I'm going to get leads and I talk about that in this episode.

In this episode I talk about the advantages of having a Roku channel for your podcast.  If you don't know what Roku is, it is a streaming TV device that turns your TV into a smart TV.  You can also buy Roku TVs that are already smart TVs.  When you put your Podcast on Roku, you are expanding your visibility to a whole new audience.  There are about 35 million Roku subscribers, but there are only about 5,000 channels on Roku and bet there aren't even 500 hundred podcasts on there, so the that platform is wide open for podcasters to get more visibility for there show.

Hello.  My name is Audrey Bell-Kearney and I am The PodChick.  The PodChick Podcast is all everything podcasting.  I've been podcasting for since around 2009.  I started out podcasting on BlogTalk Radio.  I stopped around 2012.  I started podcasting again in 2015 with a podcast called Talk Business With Audrey where I talk to entrepreneurs and authors.  Last year in December I launched a new podcast called Good Morning Gwinnett where I talk about everything in and around Gwinnett County in Georgia.  To check out that podcast go to www.GoodMorningGwinnett.com.  Here I will be talking to about what is going on in the industry as well as talking to other podcasters as they share their stories and experiences in the podcast industry.  Podcasting although it's been around for a while now it is still very new.  There are only about 660k podcast compared to 5 billion blogs and YouTube channels.  I'm very excited about the industry and all of the opportunities that are available.  So every day I will be bringing news or interviews about what's happening in Podcasting.  That's right I'll be podcasting 7 days a week.  That's a lot, but I'm up for the challenge.
