Urantia Radio

Larry Mullins passed recently. Mullins was an integral part of the Urantia "movement" (he discussed it openly, and researched its history, and along with the late Dr Meredith Sprunger) published several secondary works, including the History of the Urantia Papers, one of great scholarly regard, and Larry also worked with Dr Sprunger in publishing the abridged Urantia Papers.I caught up with Larry in February 2018, and he was in fact the very first guest we had on The Urantia radio Podcast, and I consider him a longtime friend and fellow ascender. Larry, like me, felt the Urantia Book plates and original printings needed to be preserved as it was written, "blemishes and all," he would say. He called them "touchstones" that would keep integrity of the revelation for future generations. In a sense, he was a real purist. In this interview, you can hear how Larry was a real believer, and a lover of truth. His spirit and personality will be missed.

He was a scientist, philosopher and Christian influencer who says he was given a revelation by God about heaven, and his teachings are remarkably similar to the Urantia Book teachings on Heaven, God ,and survival after death. Let's compare what Emanuel Swedenborg taught with the Urantia Book, for his writings would influence many of the great thinkers who went on to change the world. Was this a direct revelation intended to influence civilization?

In this episode we want to take a further look at The Mind.Science tells us the mind is an operational function of the human brain, composed of neurons, synopsis nodes, and organic matter processes that bring into existence our intellect - the ability to think. As we discussed in Part 1 (The Mind) , The Urantia Book offers a new perspective on Mind. It states the function of mind finds its source in the Third person of Deity, the Spirit of God.; All living beings possess some level of mind function, from primordial organisms to the modern man, but at certain differential levels of reception, with humans having the highest mind-type in material form. Let's explore the Mind Arena of Choice.

Where does Mind come from? Is it an organic outgrowth of neuropns and receptors, or is Mind part of a kind of living circuit that finds its origin in Divinity? The Urantia Book says much about Mind, and talks about how The Infinite Spirit is connected to us through the mediation of both Mind and Spirit.Let's explore the idea that Mind is bestowed upon us by our Creato, and what the implications of this means to us in this life.
