They say that 70% of students who go to college, after high school, lose their faith after college. Often they find themselves faced with topics and strong arguments about why the Bible is wrong or why God doesn’t exist. Or maybe they just see culture outside of the church and would rather have that instead. This is not much different from many others who attend church regularly. Often some people sit in church and feel unconnected because they don’t agree with what is being taught. Or maybe they have questions and their church either doesn’t know how to answer them or feels like these questions “aren’t fair to ask about God.” Why is there evil in the world? Do We have free will? Can we know God? Perspective Bible Talk is a podcast aimed at 3 things:
Move away from traditions and look at what the Bible really says.
Challenge people to engage with the Bible on a deeper level.
Spark interest and discussion on biblical topics that are often overlooked.
To do this, on this podcast we will: see what the Bible actually says, Let the Bible interpret itself, and attempt to see if we can build a theology based on scripture following:
“It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.”
-Proverbs 25:2
Each week at 7 am EST, an episode between 10 to 20 minutes is uploaded. Often these episodes are part of a mini-series on a topic. Each part attempts to be self-contained so you don't need to watch other series to follow along with the current one (although it helps). Often within each series, each episode will either build off of something previously presented or go into detail relating to the series topic as a whole.
