Welcome to Episode 252 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David G. Guerra. In episode 252, David introduces listeners to his 2023 SELF-LEADERSHIP initiative: MAKING THE JUMP FROM AMATEUR TO PROFESSIONAL.In this new series, David shares with you his take on making the move from an Amateur Mindset individual to a Professional Mindset Individual. There comes a time in everyone's life when they say enough is enough and know that the only way to keep the past where it belongs (in the past) is to make a major mindset change. To elevate themselves to a higher level of being, existing, and most of all, living and that is to push through a necessary change in their life. By beginning to recognize change in vocation, location, or need must be made, then the transition from an Amateur to a Professional becomes part of our lives. This series is based on my observations and some of my life experiences that drive the change from Amateur to Professional. Please note, that we are going to take most of 2023 to complete this series. However, by the end I do hope you will see the value on making the change but also in knowing that the process, from beginning to end will involve lots and lots of hard work. When it comes to work either you are willing to put in all it takes or you are perfectly happy staying right where you are. If you are happy being stagnant then this podcast series is not for you. However, when enough is enough then and only then are you ready to proceed with not only changing your mindset but your personal and professional life, as well. Thus, David asks, "Are you ready to put in the work to make the much needed change in your life?" If the answer is YES, then let's use 2023 as the time to take that journey to move beyond and up.While on your journey do not forget to CREATE WIN-WIN situations in all that you do. Start Strong! Stay Strong! Finish Strong! Be Strong! And as always, I remind you to GO BEYOND THE GRIND and GO BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER AND A LEADER THAT IS GREAT TO FOLLOW.I invite you to take about 15 minutes and listen to the Episode 252 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Welcome to Episode 249 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David G. Without it none of all the other soft skills would never get off the ground. Without having the ability to listen why bother becoming a leader. Seriously, if your plan is to put in just enough to get you by, there is truly no point in thinking you have it in you to lead others.LISTENING is the foundation of any leadership development or leadership growth process. Thus, Listening is the foundation of the Walking Leader. It is all about getting out there, getting to know those you lead, and to connect with them because you are listening and paying attention.Don't forget to CREATE WIN-WIN situations in all that you do.
