Happy Independence Day! Kira reaches back to one of our greatest revolutionaries and first President, George Washington. How does his Farewell Address of 1796 speak to modern American woes? As we wade through a contentious election year, let’s look back on these inspiring, patriotic, and sometimes prescient words from George Washington. Let them be a reminder of where we came from, what is to be protected, and how delicate the blessings of liberty can be.
Kira breaks down the meltdown, bringing analysis of the first Trump/Biden debate of the season (and perhaps the last). We’ve never seen a presidential debate quite like this one. It was brutal to watch and left more than a few Americans asking, “Who exactly is in charge of the country?” America bought the ticket, let’s take this ride together.
I'm Just Sayin - No Likey
Kira wraps up her analysis of the New York Magazine article that asks, “Are Republican Women Okay?” CORRECTION: In the previous episode we identified the article by the wrong title. The title is “Are Republican Women Okay?” By Rebecca Traister
I'm Just Sayin - The Feds Attack a Whistleblower
Kira breaks down an op ed from New York Magazine asking the most pressing, stressful, concerning question of our time: What is Wrong With Republican Women? Surely the author makes a logical, coherent case for why republican women are the absolute worst…right? Kira digs in.
Kira analyzes and contrasts two very different college commencement speeches - Joe Biden’s speech at Morehouse and Harrison Butker’s address to Benedictine College. What makes a good commencement speech? What was the difference between the President’s address and Butker’s? And what about THE CONTROVERSY? Did Butker cross a line? Kira thinks through all of it this week. Links to speeches below. I'm Just Sayin - Parental Pardons
Kira welcomes Adam Coleman, author of “Black Victim to Black Victor” and they chat about accountability, racism and the importance of manhood. https://www.amazon.com/Black-Victim-Victor-Identifying-ideologies/dp/B0915JT4XD/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=black+victim+to+black+victor&qid=1683797076&sprefix=%2Caps%2C73&sr=8-1
I'm Just Sayin - Trump's Trash Trial
I'm Just Sayin - The Pope is Wrong
I'm Just Sayin - Oakland's Big Crime Solution
RedState Deputy Managing Editor Susie Moore joins Kira for an informal conversation about modern political discourse and why it’s so hard to start meaningful conversations. No introverts were harmed in the making of this podcast. Find Susie on X @SmoosieQ and RedState.com
I'm Just Sayin - Rage Therapy for the Weak in Spirit
I'm Just Sayin - Dexter Taylor vs. The Rogue State of New York
Kira digs in to the debate over public broadcasting. Does America need it anymore? Can taxpayers justify the cost? What happens without it?
I'm Just Sayin - National Police Week
Radio host and Director of Regulatory Freedom with CPAC Andrew Langer joins Kira to discuss the practicalities of policy and how even the most obscure policies make it to your pocket. Follow Andrew on X @Andrew_Langer

I’m white and the racism pendulum is swinging in the opposite direction as if it’s a necessary move to make up for history. It inspires hope to hear Black Americans who aren’t embracing the CRT movement and who look more in the direction of Martin Luther King Jr.’s , “I Have A Dream”. Thank you for being brave enough to stand up and speak out against the errors of speech sensorship. Use it before we lose it 💗

as a white people, not a white-people thing - I think this stupidity is a more-money-than-sense thing

There is an old saying. "If you look for racism, you will find it."

Amen Kira. We each decide how to react. I recognize that some people may have a reaction of hatred or fear but it should be a feeling of “look what we’ve overcome” and “look how far we’ve come.“

thank you so much! have a couple thoughts. 1. Prager only feels it's bad to be forbidden to use the word when quoting someone. I'm not familiar with the specific clip, but I do know from past comments he's made about this topic. 2. I'd like to hear you thoughts on Huck Finn. it's often banned or sanitized b/c of the flagrant use of the n word. but I always felt that using the n word about the only decent and truely good person in the book, Jim, made a powerful statement about how stupid and ugly racism is. in other words, the use of the n word is a comment on the racists and slave holders not on Jim.

This was a very informative and frankly horrifying podcast. I need to think more about gentrification, cause I always kind of shrugged it off as a non-issue. Thx!

She seems to get the concept of monopoly slightly wrong. I remember hearing that when Ma Bell was broken up, the phones didn't work right for years. I'm too young to know for real, but it sounds right. Just because someone is the only game in town doesn't mean they're sloppy and corrupt. They may honestly want to provide something for people, just to provide it, and they do it well.

So good! I agree that we can't subjectively determine someone's value, or decide their life or death from a percieved struggle they may face. The Constitution guarantees protection and personhood based on our humanness alone. A life is a life ;)

Great perspective and insight! I agree, you can't be personally pro-life but pro-choice. We wouldn't allow ourselves that position on other similar issues, not consistent, and not genuine. If ending a life is wrong for you, it's wrong for everyone. A life is a life 👍
