Description

The video series is a conversation among Angus King, Governor of the State of Maine from 1995-2003 and two teachers: Lisa Hogan, from MSAD 75, Topsham, Maine, and Sarah Sutter, from Wiscasset High School, Wiscasset, Maine.

The first video focuses on the reasons for going 1-to-1, tips for teachers to get started without feeling overwhelmed, and the need for teachers to be open to learning with and from students and other teachers.

The second video focuses on teaching with internet-based information, promoting higher order thinking and student engagement, managing a 1-to-1 classroom environment, and preparing for technology glitches.

The third video focuses on ways teachers can prevent and manage technology glitches in a 1-to-1 classroom, promote parental involvement and support, and find additional resources.

The fourth video focuses on the benefits of 1-to-1 for even the most successful teachers, the role of policies and rules, and the need for students to learn about digital citizenship.

The fifth and sixth videos in this series include conversations with school principals who share their ideas and experiences in implementing 1:1 in their schools.
