Dr. Scott and Carol Kellermann have worked in SW Uganda for about 20 years, providing medical services for the Batwa Pygmies. The Batwa were the inhabitants of an ancient rainforest until the 1990s when the Ugandan government evicted them in order to establish a national park for the mountain gorilla. The park is now a World Heritage Site. From field medical clinics with drip lines hanging from tree limbs to a 128-bed hospital, the Kellermann Foundation has helped reduce child mortality rates and the incidence of malaria in the region.  Team in Faith Sponsors East Africa NGO To support women, orphans and vulnerable children through education and income-generating activitiesDisclaimer: This post contains affiliate links.
