Description

Abnormality is a hallmark of great people. Societal norms are overrated, being average is all too common, public perception of fear and failure is wrong, and being realistic gets your nowhere. Each episode brings inspiration from a variety of topics to live a life that is true to you. I speak to the crazies who are looked down on for being different and say, "keep coloring outside the lines."

We live in a culture that roots for a 50% downfall of most people. Enough that makes that person feel better about there own lives. The biggest insight into the insecurity of your soul is how you feel and comment towards the success of others. We hate it when people make money. We hate it even more when that money comes from anything entrepreneurial or innovative. If it's not money from a job it shouldn't be earned. We hate it when risk takers who have created something long term inherit the benefits of that risk. All in all, we don't like being surpassed in the world because it creates a sense of inferiority. I provide real life examples i've encountered in my own world to back up this statement. I've been ripped apart by comments for taking a chance to create something for myself. I've been criticized for making money in various ways. Time for me to speak up... not about what that does to me, but what it says about everyone who makes the comments. To all the haters, whatever is making you feel inferior in your own lives, i'm very sorry.
In this episode I explain why I don't think any 18 year old belongs in college. I give 3 specific reasons that it is not a viable option for anyone directly out of high school. It short sweet and to the point in this episode. High encourage anyone to listen, especially if you're still in high school OR A PARENT. Listen parents, because you're the one teaching them. I've always believed that focusing on your strengths is a huge key to success. Remember, weaknesses are different than character flaws. I don't promote the idea of not caring if you are an unkind person. That is a character flaw. I do promote not caring if you aren't good at social studies. If you ever try to create a business, invest money, or develop a personal brand, you will find out there is a lot of stuff you suck at. It teaches you that instead of trying to be good at it all, which is impossible to do, you find others who excel in areas that you do not. You must focus on being the best that you can at what you are amazing at. We all have stuff that we are rockstars at and at the same time we all have things that we absolutely suck at. Stop focusing on the stuff we suck at and focus on honing in on our strengths. If anyone is interested in checking out the Clifton Strength Finders Assessment, the link is below. It does cost money but if you are in an area of business or brand development I HIGHLY recommend it. It's an amazing tool to gain self awareness around yourself AND team members that can create positive changes in the brand or company. https://www.gallup.com/cliftonstrengths/en/252137/home.aspx It'd mean the world if y'all checked out my other pages: Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/heywhereyou TikTok- https://vm.tiktok.com/HhaBVN/ LinkedIn- Kevin Ujoodha Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/kevujoodha/ Twitter- https://twitter.com/whereyouatkev
Everyone takes personality tests because they're fun and we're curious of what our results would be. We rarely try to implement them into our daily lives, let alone use them to understand all the relationships around us. In business, these assessments can be extremely important! They help us truly break down our personality and learn how to interact with our team, employees, and customers. Andy has dedicated years to understanding many types of people across multiple assessments. He has helped me raise my self awareness through personality assessments and has actually taken me down a rabbit hole of studying them myself. We discuss one assessment, the Myers Briggs assessment, in depth, but he also provides the tools for how to examine the results of any assessment and implement them into your life. In this episode he talks about: 1) What the Myers Briggs assessment looks at 2) Different perceptions of looking at personality assessments 3) Other areas to evaluate in your life to raise self awareness 4) Breaking down our values Linked below are the assessments discussed--My personal favorite is the Strength Finders. I really dove into my results and every area. Strength Finders intrigued me as a tool for team members in developing a brand. Results can be used to assess strengths of the team as a whole, where we thrive, and where we may need help. https://www.16personalities.com/ https://www.gallup.com/cliftonstrengths/en/252137/home.aspx -- This does cost but it is worth it! Highly recommended https://www.truity.com/test/enneagram-personality-test --there are multiple locations you can take this assessment and each one varies a bit. There is also a free version and a paid version Even before taking any assessment, Andy suggests writing down/thinking about our values first. That beginning self assessment is a great first step that leads into other assessments. It is a great place to engage in a community to help with any physical goals. You'll find me as a fellow member in the group as well 😉** Thank y'all for allowing me into your lives through this episode Love all ya!! ❤️ - Kev
If you viewed your life as a company, would you hire yourself as the CEO to run it? We make investments every day of our lives. Whether we think we're investors or not, we all are. In fact, we all have had the opportunity to make one of the biggest, if not the biggest investment decision, anyone can make. Every single one of us have faced the decision to make it or not. I talk about that investment in this episode and the impact it has on use. The term "investor" or "investing" is not terms that are reserved for wealthy individuals because every single person can add it to their title. I talk about the change we can make to our lives if we view investing differently. If we changed the simple way we view something, like eating at McDonalds, we can completely shape the way we think and act. This is a freaking powerful message to everyone, young and old. I hope y'all enjoy!
Not a deep talk, but I love sports. I am passionate about sports so I wanted to talk about it in depth a bit. We're in week 8 of college football and I wanted to talk about where we're at. I'm an Ohio State buckeye born and raised so excuse and bias.  What do situations look like so far? What are the rankings and what do I see happening in the upcoming weeks? What kind of scenarios can occur that shake rankings up? Why do I like certain players over others and what offense or defense has the chance to stop certain teams? Why do I despise the college playoff committee right now and what Clemson has to do with it? All of that is discussed in this episode. If you love sports this is a great one to listen to because we dive deep into things. If you don't agree with me, all the more reason to find me and exert your own opinion.
As an introvert, I know what it's like to feel the pressure of becoming extroverted. In a world that pushes EVERYONE to be an extrovert it's pretty courageous to push back and not be scared to be authentically introverted. Why is extroversion so heightened? Why are introverts pushed to be more extroverted? Why is extroversion so grandiose of a concept? In this episode we explore: (1:50) Why introversion and extroversion can't be so black and white. Also a new term many haven't heard before. (3:10) Why I think introverts are better (4:00) How extroversion is like college..hmm... (6:30) The push towards extroversion and how it's actually having a NEGATIVE impact on extroverts. *** (13:20-22:10) Why introverts need to quit feeling like they're boring AND how those feelings negatively impact a relationship. *** (14:55) My ego comes out a bit, but i'm not gonna lie to ya about it. (30:15) The four types of introverts. (33:50) "Happiness may not be the top priority for introverts." I explain why happiness is not a destination and why chasing happiness can be detrimental to your mental health.
