Life is kicking all of our asses as we strive for some kind of BALANCE during this crazy Quarantine. This week I sit down with Martel Okonji, the proud Nigerian, openly Gay, Educator, Community Advocate and dedicated dad to a young daughter. Martel recaps his personal journey and shares his tips for balancing all things in every area of life!
While still celebrating Black History Month and enjoying the conversation of last week's show, Armond dares to ask another pivotal question: Why are the contributions of the LGBTQIA+ Communities to Black History often overlooked, if acknowledged at all? A Black-owned independent bookstore that specializes in African American books, calendars and gifts full of cultural diversity. Servicing Los Angeles since 1990, now with locations in the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Mall and The Westfield Culver City/Fox Hills Mall.
In time, things must grow and change. Ushering in a new format and flow, Agree2Disagree Talk will now be known as Standing N Yur Truth Podcast. Kicking of the new vibe is the One-on One Interview Series entitled "INSPIRE" with Fashion Designer Phillip A, who's been in the Fashion Business for close to 40 years. I sit down with Phillip as he gives details on his career, his life changing accident along with his current project: An Online, full service Fashion Design and Merchandising School for youth that will change the world of fashion as we know it!
