PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, CasinoSlotsMoney.com, Livedealerscasino.org, EasyMobileCasino.com & OnlineBlingo.com bring you the gambling news podcast. In our first story this week, Australia is introducing facial recognition technology as a way to tackle the problem of gambling addiction. Currently, the tech, which employs Artificial Intelligence to scan guests' faces, is installed at the Warilla Hotel, but the plan is to roll it out across all gambling venues in the state of New South Wales in the next year. The software will match the images in the existing database and will identify only gamblers who have been voluntarily barred from betting sites. The state believes that facial recognition will help curb gambling addiction which is a serious issue across the country, However, critics claim that the technology is a dangerous and invasive attack on privacy and that it undermines basic human rights. Next up, some visitors to Apple's App Store reported last week that they noticed some curious suggestions as they were searching for new apps. It seems that, after the release of new versions of operating systems for iPhones and iPads, advertisements started to appear outside the "Search" tab, where they had been relegated previously. An even bigger problem has been that some of the suggestions included inappropriate content for certain user groups, such as ads for gambling and crypto schemes appearing next to apps for addiction recovery or kids' games. After much protest, Apple has paused ads for gambling apps and similar categories of App Store products. Also, they have promised to fix the glitch, as they call it, as soon as possible. In our next story, state lotteries in the United States come under scrutiny for predatory gambling practices. The next Powerball jackpot is expected to be among the largest in US history, estimated at around $1.9 billion. With jackpots rising, millions of people continue to shell out their dollars, purchasing tickets and dreaming of scoring the life-changing prize. However, these dream stories also have a darker side. Critics say that state-run lotteries are one of the overlooked examples of systemic racism in the country. Lottery advertising and marketing campaigns use the lack of regulation in the field to target low-income communities, commonly made up of minority groups. Unfortunately, this practice is likely to continue as there seems to be no intention from government regulators to act on these issues. In our last story, last week has proven to be rather fruitful for Las Vegas visitors as several players ended up taking home huge prizes. One of the biggest wins came at the Caesars Palace, where one player scored a massive jackpot worth $200,000. The lucky winner nailed the massive prize while playing the Double Gold slots machine.Other casinos across the Vegas Valley had their share of huge payouts, too. A visitor from Nebraska won the $11,420 jackpot on Thursday at the Palace Station casino. Another big prize came at the Rio casino, where one of the guests won $32,000 playing the Double Double Ultimate X video poker machine. Finally, a player at the Strat casino poker table triggered the progressive jackpot on Wednesday, pocketing over $25,0
PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, CasinoSlotsMoney.com, Livedealerscasino.org, EasyMobileCasino.com & OnlineBlingo.com bring you the gambling news podcast. In our first story, the game we all loved and used to settle playground disputes is making its Vegas debut. The brand-new Rock, Paper, Scissors slot machine will be featured on the casino floor at the Circa Casino in Las Vegas. According to the casino representatives, Circa will be the only property in the world where the players will have a chance to test the new game. The game itself was created by the Japanese-based gaming manufacturer, Azure Gaming, and developed for their Muso Curve 55HB slot cabinet. Rock, Paper, Scissors was first unveiled on the final day of the recent Global Gaming Expo, held in Las Vegas, and has already attracted plenty of attention in the industry, promising to be a big success at Circa. Next up, Las Vegas is known for many things, but the Christmas celebration is certainly not one of them. However, that's likely about to change as Resorts World Las Vegas is looking to become the first establishment to offer some clean, family fun during the upcoming holiday season. The casino located on the North Strip will prepare an 85,000-square-foot outdoor Christmas spectacular in an effort to find a way to stand out among other top-tier properties in town. The celebration will last from November 25 to January 1 and will include plenty of fun and exciting events. Among other things, Resorts World's Christmas Village will feature ice skating, interactive games, live entertainment, special drinks and treats, holiday shopping, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus. In our next story, the race for downstate New York casino licenses is heating up, and Coney Island is the latest potential landing spot to emerge. The seaside town is already known for its entertainment offerings, and a prominent real estate developer is looking to add a casino to the list of what this Brooklyn neighborhood has to offer to its visitors. The New York-based real estate development, leasing, and management firm, Thor Equities, is reportedly preparing a pitch as it looks to land one of the three coveted downstate gaming concessions. The company already owns some major properties in the area, including the retail shopping district adjacent to the Cyclone roller coaster. However, the firm is likely to face some stiff competition, including the Mets' owner Steve Cohen. In our last story this week, illegal gambling establishments have been an issue in Ohio for a while now, but the state seems intent to crack down on these operations. The latest news from Highland County certainly signals the state's determination to deal with this issue.Last week, agents with the Ohio Casino Control Commission served search warrants on five businesses located in Hillsboro and Greenfield. This comes as a part of an investigation into illegal gambling activities in this area. During the execution of search warrants, the OCCC gaming agents, with the support of the local police departments, seized more than 300 gambling machines, along with cash and documents. At the moment, no arrests have been made, but the investigation is still in progress.
PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, CasinoSlotsMoney.com, Livedealerscasino.org, EasyMobileCasino.com & OnlineBlingo.com bring you the gambling news podcast. In our first story, Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort in Connecticut has been named "the Best Casino Hotel" by USA Today. This is the fifth time in a row that the casino complex operated by the Mohegan Tribe has been recognized as the best gaming, entertainment, and leisure destination in the country. The resort, located in Uncasville, earned the title thanks to its design that tells the story of the Mohegan people and their culture, luxurious rooms outfitted with the latest technology, and other numerous premium amenities, such as a pool, spa, and fitness center. This year, the USA Todays list looks a bit surprising due to the one glaring omission. For the first time in years, no Las Vegas resort has made the Top 10.  Next up, Macau casino stocks soared on Monday, as the city officials indicated the Chinese government is readying to open up travel and ease the Covid restrictions. After a rough two years due to the repeated lockdowns, this is finally a piece of good news for Macau casino operators, as now people can return in numbers to the world's largest gambling hub. After the government announcement, US casinos stocks with Macau's exposure took off in Monday's market trading. The top two performers were Wynn Resorts and Las Vegas Sands, with a 12 and 11.7 percent rise, respectively. This is a positive development for the American casinos in Macau, which have been in a downtrend since the United States launched the trade war against China in 2018. In our next story, the Philippines are about to shut down the operations of 175 offshore gambling companies and deport nearly 40,000 Chinese workers. The action comes as a part of the major crackdown by the government on the notoriously shady online casino industry. The whole online gaming sector in the Philippines has been rapidly developing since 2016 as casinos saw the South-Asian country with liberal gambling laws as a perfect location from which to target gamblers in China where gambling is illegal. At one point, before the pandemic, Philippine offshore gambling operators had more than 300,000 Chinese employees. However, after numerous reports on criminal activities, including murders and kidnapping committed by Chinese nationals against their compatriots, the government had to resort to tough measures.  In our last story this week, Staten Island President Vito Fosella has invited interested developers and the New York State Gaming Commission to take a chance and consider this borough as a potential landing spot for the new casino in downstate New York. The Commission will award three Class III full casino licenses, and Fosella hopes that one of these will end up in his part of town. As the only part of New York without any type of gambling, Staten Island would probably be a desirable location for potential developers. Fosella has already suggested a perfect location, at the site of the failed New York Wheel project. Sitting across from Manhattan in picturesque surroundings, this spot could easily become a destination with both gambling and tourist appeal.
PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, CasinoSlotsMoney.com, Livedealerscasino.org, EasyMobileCasino.com & OnlineBlingo.com bring you the gambling news podcast. In our first story, one of the largest crypto gambling platforms is facing a massive lawsuit. State UK, a company that sponsors Everton FC of the English Premier League, is being sued for $400 million by the former business partner of its co-founders.The man behind the lawsuit, Florida resident Christopher Freeman, claims that Primedice, a predecessor of Stake, was his idea and that he played a major role in the company's development. According to court filings, Freeman has allegedly set up Primedice with his school friends and current Stake owners, and it was his idea to expand to the crypto market. Pivot to crypto gambling has made Stake one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry, with a current estimated value of more than $1 billion. Next up, Macau has long been known as the gambling capital of the world, but that status is likely about to change. While the rest of the industry across the globe is rapidly recovering from the Covid pandemic, China's Covid Zero policy, travel bans, and new gambling laws have made Macau an unfavorable market. in August, the Macau gambling revenue was a mere 9% of the pre-pandemic levels. At the same time, the Philippines, South Korea, and Singapore are already at around 70% of the pre-pandemic revenue.Several leading suppliers of casino equipment have already announced that they will be moving their resources to more welcoming markets. In most cases, the new destination is the Philippines, which is quickly becoming a significant player in the Asian gambling industry. In our next story, Japan's Universal Entertainment Corporation has taken over the operations of the Okada Manila gambling resort. The $3.3 billion casino is the largest establishment of its kind in Southeast Asia, and taking control of this property is a major coup for the Japanese company. The takeover came over after a long-running dispute between new and former operators, but, according to Philippine gambling regulators, the process was generally peaceful. This also means that Universal will name new members on the board of Tiger Resort Leisure and Entertainment, the company responsible for the operation of Okada Manila Casino and Resort. The previous members were installed by a group led by Japanese tycoon Kazuo Okada who has a long history of confrontations with Universal Entertainment. In our last story this week, legal betting in Kansas is off to a rocky start, and the main culprits are bettors from neighboring Missouri.According to GeoComply Solutions, on the first day of legal sports wagering in Kansas, 16,000 attempts to place a bet from Missouri were blocked. Almost two-thirds of this number came from the Missouri portion of Kansas City. According to the state's new gambling law, anyone over the age of 21 is allowed to place a bet, no matter what state they're from. However, do to so, they have to be within Kansas state limits. This has proven to be particularly frustrating for Missouri bettors who live in the same metro area where betting is legal, and yet, they can't place wagers from their homes.
PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, CasinoSlotsMoney.com, Livedealerscasino.org, EasyMobileCasino.com & OnlineBlingo.com bring you the gambling news podcast. In our first story, a promising Kickstarter crypto game goes bust. In 2021, at the height of the crypto boom, a blockchain-based, Pokemon-style video game called Untamed Isles raised over $500,000 on Kickstarter. Fast-forward a year later, and the game is more or less dead. It seems that Phat Loot, the studio behind the game, is so broke that it can't even refund its backers. Posting on the game's Steam page, the developers said that they will pause the development and put the game on indefinite hiatus, as they're unable to financially keep up with the planned schedule. They denied claims that the backers' money was invested in cryptocurrencies and said that all funds went towards the game development. The game was originally scheduled to launch on October 6.  Next up, the campaign surrounding California gambling propositions is breaking all the spending records. So far, committees supporting and opposing Propositions 26 and 27 have raised over $357 million. Since June 30, several groups, looking to get a piece of this potentially very lucrative betting market, have each been spending an average of $16.5 million per week.In two months, California voters will decide whether to back two propositions that will bring legal gambling to the state. Proposition 26 would expand types of betting at tribal casinos and racetracks to in-person sports wagering. Voting Yes on the other measure, Prop 27, would legalize online betting across the state. With stakes this high, the lavish campaign spending will likely continue until the ballots are mailed out in October.  In our next story, Butler National Corporation will now offer sports betting in Kansas. The company has received a green light from the Kansas Lottery as their sports wagering management contract via a subsidiary operating Boot Hill Casino & Resort was approved. The agreement follows a similar deal the casino has made with DraftKings. According to the details of the contract, the patrons will not only be able to place wagers in person at the Dodge City casino, but also bet online through the interactive sports wagering platform. At the moment, the team at the Butler National Corporation is focused on launching DraftKings’ mobile and retail sportsbook at Boot Hill casino. Per provisions of the Kansas sports betting law, state casinos can have up to 50 marketing partners.  In our last story this week, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi opened the expanded gaming area at the Four Winds Casino in South Bend. The representatives of the tribe ceremonially cut the ribbon on Friday, opening the door to all visitors. The new 40,000-square foot gaming floor includes 850 slot machines, 11 gaming tables, and a brand-new high-limit area. Plus, it features an additional cage and cashier area. The gaming space is just a part of a major expansion of the casino which is set to be completed in early 2023. When finished, the complex will include the 23-story hotel, the largest in St. Joseph County, a convention area and meeting space, lounge, bar, spa, and a swimming pool on the roof of the hotel.
THIS GAMBLING PODCAST IS COURTESY OF PLAY SLOTS 4 REAL MONEY, EASY MOBILE CASINO, ONLINE BLINGO AND CASINO SLOTS MONEY.In our first story this week, one lucky player hit a life-changing jackpot at the Thunder Valley Casino Resort on Friday. The Sacramento-area casino announced that the winner is Roberto Arcueno, who scored a prize worth over $1.5 million. Arcueno nailed the massive jackpot while playing the Dancing Drums Explosion, a slot machine where the minimum bet is a measly one cent. Every slot machine on the casino floor is wired into the lucrative Thunder Strike progressive jackpot. So, playing any of them offers players a chance to hit big at any given time, meaning that they never know when and on which machine they can strike gold. The Friday jackpot is just one of many that land across the gaming floor every month. Next up, more big wins from the casino floors. A poker player from Missoula, Montana won $131,000 in what was probably less than a minute. Last week, Ross Bittner and his wife Ruth went to Vegas for a vacation. Little did they know that one poker game will change their lives. On Thursday night, Ross decided to join a game of three-card poker at one of the gaming tables at the Cromwell Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. After only one hand, before he even got a chance to get comfortable, Mr. Bittner triggered the progressive jackpot worth well over $100,000. After the big win, the lucky winner spoke with the Cromwell representatives and said that most of the winnings will end up in the hands of his grandchildren. In our next story, some of the most popular Twitch streamers are making millions from crypto gambling platforms, while a large number of their fans are going bankrupt. According to the recent Bloomberg report, some members of the audience of the largest Twitch stars are filing for bankruptcy after following their favorite streamers in playing crypto gambling games. Crypto gambling is among the most watched content categories on the Twitch platform. And, along with this popularity, come advertising deals with crypto gambling sites, often worth millions of dollars. However, fans of these streamers, often underage, easily get lured into gambling by the promise of fun and camaraderie. Unfortunately, they often end up with empty bank accounts, as they don't have the safety net of lucrative sponsorships. In our last story, some mixed news for Massachusetts gamblers. It seems that legal online betting is almost a done deal, while the destiny of online lottery still hangs in balance. A couple of weeks ago, the state's legislature was apparently ready to legalize online sports wagering as a part of the new Economic Development Bill. Per reports, the lottery was also supposed to be included in the bill. However, the revelation that almost $3 billion in tax relief could be required by the new law has raised some concerns about how to separate those tax measures across different gaming sectors. While the lawmakers are exploring new ways to generate sustainable revenue for the state, the process has been put on halt, at least until the end of the year.

Local and state authorities have been trying for years to crack down on shady gaming businesses. However, the operators of these establishments have so far been able to find ways to work around the existing laws. Mostly located in strip malls, these businesses offer their players a chance to play games similar to slot machines and pay out the winners in a variety of ways, often with cryptocurrencies. However, the new law signed in June by Governor Jared Polis will provide Colorado's Division of Gaming with the authority to investigate gray casinos even when they're located outside of three towns where gambling is legal. Next up, legal betting in Ohio is set to start on January 1 and local bettors will have plenty of options when it comes to where they can place their wagers. Besides physical sportsbooks and mobile apps, the state's betting law also includes betting kiosks that will be available in restaurants, bars, and bowling alleys. So far, more than 1000 businesses in Ohio have applied for sports gaming kiosks. Each of them will have to first receive a recommendation from the state's Lottery Commission before they can be granted "Type-C" licenses from the Ohio Casino Control Commission. Those who want their kiosk to be operational in time for the start of sports gambling in Ohio will have to submit their application before August 15. In our next story, sports betting in Louisiana is raking in record numbers since online wagering became legal in January. Only in May, the total sports betting handle in the state was at $170 million. Much of this success is due to the attractive promotions and bonuses offered by the sportsbooks. Now, Caesars Sportsbook, which runs one of the most successful mobile betting apps in the Pelican State, is offering another awesome promotion for their first-time bettors. When they register and make their first deposit, new users of the Caesars Sportsbook mobile app will receive a risk-free bet of up to $,1,500 with the code GAMEC15. This means that even if their pick ends up losing, they will get their wager back in one bet credit. In our last story, America's most famous bettor, Mattress Mack, is back at it again. This time, the Texas furniture tycoon is putting his faith in his hometown baseball team. Over the last couple of days, Mack has made two huge $2 million bets that the Houston Astros will win the World Series. As sports betting is still illegal in Texas, one wager was placed in Iowa and the other in Vegas. With a couple of bets placed earlier, Mack now has $10 million riding on Astros going all the way this year.Of course, Mattress Mack is not a typical high roller. He uses his massive bets as a promotional tool to attract new customers to his store and uses the profits to cover potential betting losses.   Remember to visit PlaySlots4RealMoney.Com (that's the numeral 4) and EasyMobileCasino.com. Welcome to the gambling news podcast brought to you by www.PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, Casino Slots Money & Easy Mobile Casino. In our first story this week, Macau authorities announced on Friday that they will add two more casino hotels to Covid-19 medical facilities as the number of cases continues to rise in the world's largest Macao gambling hub. The resorts that will be used to increase capacity and handle the surge of infections are Grand Lisboa Palace and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Two other properties, Sheraton Hotel and Londoner Resort, are already in use as quarantine facilities. Macau is yet to implement a full lockdown, although there are more than 17,000 people in quarantine. However, residents have been asked to stay at home and the restaurants only provide takeaway services. For now, other casinos will remain open to protect the jobs, despite the significant lack of business.  Next up, the American Gambling Association is increasing its efforts in the fight against illegal offshore betting platforms. Among other things, this includes actively seeking help from Google. Despite the rapid legalization of sports betting in the United States, many American gamblers still place their wagers with offshore betting sites. The lack of regulation allows these platforms to offer better odds and higher caps to their customers, but also leaves more room for shady and unsafe practices. Current estimates are that around $15 billion is being wagered through offshore properties. Some of these sites still rank very high in search results, which is why AGA is asking Google to step up and block these illegal online casinos from being seen in regulated markets. In our next story, Illinois is the only state in the US to report year-to-year casino revenue growth in June. This time of the year is traditionally a slow betting period as NFL and NBA are in the offseason, with MLB the only active major sport. Still, compared to the same period last year, the gambling-related revenue in Illions is up 5% and stands at $110.7 million. The June success comes despite poor performance from some of the state's largest casino operators. Ceasars' revenue fell 5% to $64.8 million in June, while Penn National reported $30.9 million, an 8% drop. However, these losses were offset by other major players in the Illinois gambling industry. DraftKings, Quad Cities, and Rivers-Des Plaines all had a very successful month.  In our last story, Las Vegas Strip is about to get another landmark property. A new $500 million hotel and casino plans to open its doors to visitors in 2024. Last week, the Dream Hotel Group, one of the fastest growing hotel companies, broke ground on their latest project - a casino and hotel complex which will be named Dream Las Vegas. The new complex will feature a boutique-style hotel with 531 rooms and several premium dining options. Future guests will also get to enjoy a swimming pool, entertainment venue, nightclub, and fitness center. The casino will spread over a 20,000 square-foot floor featuring exclusive slot machines and gaming tables. Dream Las Vegas will be located at one of the most attractive spots on the Strip, just opposite Mandalay Bay.
Thank you for stopping by the gambling news podcast brought to you by www.PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, Easy Mobile Casino  and Casino Slots Money. In our first story this week, a strike by the workers' union could have serious financial consequences for Atlantic City casinos. Unionized casino workers are looking to renegotiate their contracts with their employers, but the other side seems reluctant to sit at the table. The main issues are the contracts for more than 10,000 casino workers, which expired several weeks ago. The unwillingness of the casinos' management to restart those contracts has triggered a wave of discontent among their employees. Unless their demands are met, the main casino union, Local 54 of the Unite Here, plans to go on strike on July 1. This will coincide with the July 4th weekend, and according to the union's calculations, it could cost casinos around $2.56 million per day. Next up, casinos in Australia are looking to employ facial recognition technology, but their plan is facing strong opposition. Australia's largest casino and hotel operator, Endeavour Group has been using the technology since October last year, allegedly to combat problem gamblers. Another major industry player, Star Entertainment, also uses facial recognition to restrict casino access to banned visitors. While the casinos claim to use facial recognition responsibly, the technology itself has been marred in controversy. Australia is yet to fully regulate the use of this technology, which opens the doors for potential abuse. Opponents of facial recognition are worried that the casinos may be using it to infringe on their customers' privacy and to sell and monetize their personal data without consent. In our next story, Holland Casino and casino workers' unions have reached an agreement over wage increases. After weeks of discussions, the two sides have made a deal that will feature a series of wage increases and one-off payments. Holland Casino has agreed to increase workers' pay by 2.5% starting next month. Plus, the wages will rise by another 0.5% on January 1 next year. The deal also includes a one-time payment of 350 euros for all Holland Casino employees. In addition to the pay rise, the union and Holland Casino have also agreed on the new minimum wage. All workers are now guaranteed at least 14 euros per hour. The new collective labor agreement will run from July 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023. In our last story, money has been rolling in Vegas over the past month. Gamblers hit several huge jackpots, but the biggest win came at the Golden Gate casino. The downtown Vegas property paid out a jackpot worth over $1.3 million to one lucky player. The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, certainly had the day to remember as he pocketed the life-changing reward. The jackpot struck on June 2, in the early morning hours. The fortunate customer was playing Wheel of Fortune, one of the most popular slot machines, when the lady luck smiled on him and helped him land the massive jackpot. He took home the prize worth exactly $1,342,414.70. To make the story even better, the big win came after the player staked only $5.
Want gambling news and the chance to play online bingo for real money and find the best real money online casinos? Play Slots 4 Real Money and Easy Mobile Casino  discuss gambling in canada, BetMGM hosting the poker tournament at the Aria, Ohio's progress with potential sports betting legislation, and how 1-800-GAMBLER team up with The National Council on Problem Gambling. In our first story, the 1-800-GAMBLER helpline is now being deployed nationwide to help those battling gambling habits. Until recently, the hotline has been registered with the Council on Compulsive Gambling of New Jersey and only used to provide assistance to gamblers in the Garden State. However, the New Jersey Council has now agreed to lend the rights to this easily rememberable number to the National Council on Problem Gambling. The DC-based nonprofit will share the helpline with gambling resource organizations across the country. This means that every caller outside of New Jersey will be rerouted to the local, state-approved addiction assistance center. In addition, each state will now have a single help number that they can easily market and include in advertisements during sports events.  Next up, Ohio is taking its time with the legalization of sports betting. The launch of the sports wagering program in the Buckeye state is already taking longer than in any of the neighboring states. The state lawmakers have set the launch deadline for January 1, 2023, exactly 374 days after Governor Mike DeWine signed the bill on December 23, 2021.The holdup is mainly due to the bureaucracy issues, but also the fact that there are a lot of conflicting interests, as many players want a cut of the $3.35 billion in estimated yearly revenue. Furthermore, multiple agencies regulating the industry have slowed the timeline, too. However, Ohio bettors remain hopeful that they will be able to place their first wagers at the start of the new year.  In our next story, a new major industry player is entering the Canadian sports betting market. NorthStar Bets has officially launched its online casino and sportsbook in the Ontario market. For the launch, North Star Gaming has partnered up with Playtech, which will provide live casino services and its IMS platform. Both companies are hoping that this partnership will allow them to gain a firm foothold in the north of the continent and become a leader in the Canadian iGaming market. For Playtech, the agreement comes on the heels of a very profitable year, mainly due to their successful B2B operations. Besides the Northstar partnership, the company has struck a deal with Caliente which should help them increase their presence in the Mexican market. In our last story this week, casino giant BetMGM has announced an agreement with PokerGo which involves the final table of the BetMGM Poker Championship and the $25K freeroll tournament. The gaming brand of MGM entertainment and the largest poker provider in the world have agreed to bring the finishing stage of the Championship to the PokerGo Studio at the ARIA Resort & Casino. The final table will feature the six players and take place on Sunday, June 26, during the ARIA Poker Classic. The PokerGo will also host a $25K No-limit Hold’em freeroll which will involve BetMGM Championship online qualifiers. The buy-in for the first-ever poker championship organized by BetMGM is $3,500 while the total guaranteed prize pool is worth $1 million.
Welcome to the gambling news podcast where you can get the latest real money online casino news from PlaySlots4RealMoney.com, Online Blingo,Casino Slots Money, and EasyMobileCasino.com.In our first story this week, Gun Lake Casino in Wayland Township is up for a major expansion. On Thursday, the casino hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking for the $300 million development that will include a 15-floor hotel and a large-scale entertainment venue dubbed "The Aquadome"The project is supposed to turn the casino into a first-class resort that will attract visitors from all over the state. When it's finished, the hotel will feature 252 guest rooms and 30 luxury suites. The Aquadome will boast palm trees and tropical flora with temperatures held at 82 degrees throughout the year. Plans also include a multi-purpose stage that will host live events for up to 2,400 people. The whole project is expected to be completed in March of 2025.Next up, a Glendale man was arrested after leaving his kids in a car while gambling at the Casino Arizona in Scottsdale. Keo Bunchhor was apprehended on May 19 after the police found his 5 and 2-year-old kids locked in a vehicle in front of the casino. As officers approached the car, they managed to talk to the 5-year-old through the rolled-down window. The kid is sad that their father told them he was just going to get the cookie. Fortunately, a by-passer noticed the kids in the car and alerted the local authorities. After arriving at the scene, officers notified the child services and contacted the mother who came to pick up the kids. Bunchhor was taken to jail and charged with two accounts of child abuse. In our next story, a man in Japan was arrested after gambling away most of the money intended for the local Covid-19 relief. The town of Abu in Yamaguchi prefecture was supposed to hand out Covid-19 subsidies to 463 low-income local households. Each family was supposed to receive $780. However, an unnamed town official mistakenly deposited all the money to the account of Sho Taguchi, an unemployed Abu resident. Rather than returning the funds, the 24-year-old spent most of the money gambling in the online casinos. Taguchi was arrested last week and is currently being held in jail on suspicion of computer fraud. As he allegedly refused the town's request to return the money, he's now also facing a lawsuit from the Abu authorities. In our last story, Minnesota State Senate is set to vote on the sports betting bill before the legislative session ends on Monday. The bill would legalize sports betting at both tribal casinos and racetracks, as well as online wagering. However, last week the House passed a similar bill, but without the provision legalizing betting at racetracks. If Senate is to approve the new bill, it will have to work together with the House to resolve the differences between the two legislations. The Minnesota Indian Gaming Association has made it clear that they do not support the Senate's version of the bill, or any other that would include betting at racetracks. Still, the Senate bill has strong bipartisan support and bettors are hoping that some kind of compromise can be reached.
