Rapp Report episode 246 Many people fight over Calvinism and Arminianism. Who is right and who is wrong? the answer may surprise you. Andrew provides answers from Scripture to resolve this debate. Most of the focus of debate focuses on did God choose us or did we choose God. Also, the other question answered is who did Christ die for on the cross. This is a bonus episode. Rapp Report episode 245 The topic of regeneration is the cause of great debate. Are we saved by works or not? Does saying a prayer save us? How about deciding to follow Jesus? This is answered, and the confusion over this issue is explained. The issues of regeneration and sanctification are explained in detail. Andrew details the doctrine of super-intending, which solves the problem many see with arguments of who chooses a person's salvation, God or man? Regeneration is clarified in this episode. This is the section of the Striving for Eternity doctrinal statement that is addressed: Regeneration is a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which a new nature and eternal life are given (John 3:3-7; Titus 3:5). It is instantaneous and is accomplished solely by the power of the Holy Spirit through the instrumentality of the Word of God (John 5:24) when the repentant sinner, as enabled by the Holy Spirit, responds in faith to the divine provision of salvation. God Doesn’t Whisper Again

God Doesn’t Whisper Again

Rapp Report episode 244 Jim Osman, author of God Doesn't Whisper, to answer the following questions from a listener: "At first, when I listened to this I was upset, like, why shouldn't I expect to hear from God audibly? I had to ask God, please help me keep an open heart and teach me what I need to know, which He did. I still have questions by the way, but at the end of this podcast I can truly say I've learned something fresh. I don't know if I agree with all that was said, but I definitely see what I need to work on in my walk with Christ. I've had to ask myself; is the Word truly sufficient for me? Why exactly do I desire to hear God's voice? I do have a question or two that I need answered, I was disappointed it was not really talked on, or perhaps I missed when it was discussed. Question 1 is, does God speak audibly in this day and age? 2. Is it wrong to desire to hear from God audibly? Even knowing that it is not a compulsory part of the Christian walk and should not be expected, but are you saying 'don't even think about it'? Thank you." Rapp Report episode 239 National Strategy for Counter-Terrorism Against Christians This July 4th episode looks at counter-terrorism and is not a pleasant one. The government has put out a new document to explain its strategy for countering what they call domestic terrorism. That sounds good. However, when we see how they define a domestic terrorist and how they plan to deal with it, Christians need to pay attention. This is the new government’s goal in counter-terrorism. Andrew and Bud take the time to walk through this strategy and show how it is a tool for Marxism and an attack on Christian in America. This episode is scary for the Christian, but hope is provided at the end. It is a detailed plan to silence any who disagree with their Marxist agenda and call them terrorists by identifying them as white supremacists. This strategy ignores true terrorists and attacks patriots. They do not see the riots of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) as terrorism, but the Trump rally on January 6th is the focus of terrorism. Rapp Report episode 237 A sermon that Andrew delivered at GraceLife Church. It is from Psalm 93 and will encourage everyone, especially those that are suffering. “The Lord reigns; he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; he has put on strength as his belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; you are from everlasting. The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their roaring. Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty! Your decrees are very trustworthy; holiness befits your house, O Lord, forevermore.” (Psalm 93) This podcast is a ministry of Striving for Eternity and all our resources Listen to other podcasts on the Christian Podcast Community Support Striving for Eternity Leave us a review Give us your feedback, email us info@StrivingForEternity.org Get the book What Do They Believe Get the book What Do We Believe Sponsors: Logos Bible Software MyPillow or call (800) 873-0176 and use promo SFE
Rapp Report episode 236 Salvation is a general and specific term that many confuse. Are we saved by works or not? This is answered, and the confusion over this issue is explained. Andrew details the doctrine of super-intending which solves the problem that many see with arguments of who chooses a person's salvation, God or man? Regeneration is clarified in this episode. Rapp Report episode 232 Abortion has been in the news as Roe v. Wade was finally overturned. This was a great day of rejoicing by children in the womb everywhere. As Andrew and Bud were going to record on the next section of the Striving for Eternity doctrinal statement as the announcement of the overturn of Roe v. Wade. Also, say tuned to the end because Andrew will make a special announcement that surprises even Bud. This is the section of the Striving for Eternity doctrinal statement that is addressed: Abortion is the act of murdering an unborn child. The modern debate on the issue of abortion finds its roots in the view of the creation of man. Due to evolutionary thinking, the unborn child is called a fetus and treated as a parasite. A full propagation view does not allow for abortion at any time or in any circumstances. This statement is based on the fact that at the point of conception, the unborn child is a full human being with a physical body (yet being formed but, nonetheless, existing) and a spirit.   Listen to the last episode in the series: Irresistible Grace, What We Believe, Part 23 This podcast is a ministry of Striving for Eternity and all our resources Listen to other podcasts on the Christian Podcast Community Support Striving for Eternity Leave us a review Give us your feedback, email us info@StrivingForEternity.org Get the book What Do They Believe Get the book What Do We Believe Sponsors: Logos Bible Software MyPillow or call (800) 873-0176 and use promo SFE

Rapp Report episode 230 Irresistible grace is a topic of much love and hatred. It is often confused because there are so many different understandings of the term irresistible grace. In Adam’s sin of disobedience to the revealed will and Word of God, man lost his innocence, incurred the penalty of spiritual and physical death, became subject to the wrath of God, and became inherently corrupt and utterly incapable of choosing or doing that which is acceptable to God apart from divine grace. With no recuperative powers to enable him to recover himself, man is hopelessly lost. Man’s salvation is thereby wholly of God’s grace through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 2:16 17; 3:1-19; John 3:36; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Ephesians 2:1-3; 1 Timothy 2:13-14; 1 John 1:8). Because all men are in Adam, all men of all eras, Jesus Christ being the only exception, inherit a nature corrupted by Adam’s sin. All men are thus sinners by nature, by choice, and by divine declaration (Psalm 14:1-3; Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:9-18, 23; 5:10-12).   Listen to the last episode in the series: Total Depravity, What We Believe, Part 22 This podcast is a ministry of Striving for Eternity and all our resources Listen to other podcasts on the Christian Podcast Community Support Striving for Eternity Leave us a review Give us your feedback, email us info@StrivingForEternity.org Get the book What Do They Believe Get the book What Do We Believe Sponsors: Logos Bible Software MyPillow or call (800) 873-0176 and use promo SFE

Rapp Report episode 228 Total depravity is a topic of much love and hatred. It is often confused because there are so many different understandings of the term total depravity. Every person has a sin nature and is totally depraved in that they lack the proper affection and love toward God and do evil. Total depravity also refers to the complete man having been corrupted by sin, including man’s will. The inherited sin is the nature of man while the imputed sin is the reality of that nature imputed to each person from Adam. Adam and Eve are sinners because they sinned. Every person afterward sins because he possesses a sin nature. After the fall, Adam and Eve committed sin because they then had a sin nature.
