Today, we are going to dive into the mindset of writing and what is keeping you from getting started.I choose this topic because I know so many of you want to learn how to get started writing but let me be honest…mindset is everything.When I started out writing I knew nothing about what to do or how to get started. I used no writing prompts. I had an idea and I wrote the first paragraph and left it for 2 days. But it wasn’t until this voice came to me. I was like I couldn’t stop, and you know why I couldn’t… because I let the character voice tell me her story. · Sometimes we need to get ourselves out of the way which is our mind that creates all kinds of doubt and negativity.Get rid of self-doubt (I can't, what-ifs, they mays, etc)Know that everything you write will not become a novel. It is ok if it’s a blog post, short story, or a novella. It is ok if you don’t publish it.
