Rent was on FOX on January 25th and Blake is back for this special episode to discuss in with special guests Robert E G Black and newcomer Emily Kastner. The three of them break down the positives and negatives of the show, the injury news that plagued the show, whether the show could have been aired differently, who stood out from the cast, what made Blake cry and more. It's a fun talk and it may have convinced Blake to do a future project.
Blake finishes up Rent solo, breaking down everything from closing the door on the parents and homeless people (Voicemail #5, Finale A), Mark finally finishing his film, Roger finally finishing a song, Collins Robin Hooding and then Mimi fighting for her life. It's Halloween and it's Angel's favorite holiday, so let's step into her funeral. Blake bring Robert Black onto the show to discuss the emotional funeral scene (I'll Cover You (Reprise)), Mark's cut song (Halloween), and the full version of Goodbye Love. Also Robert tells how it feels about the movie version vs. the Broadway show in general.

It's New Years Rockin Eve and Blake brings in long time family friend Matt Polzin to talk about Mark's montage (Seasons of Love B), the history of Nobody Beats The Wiz and how much they both miss Happy New Year and the voicemails that were cut from the movie.
Blake is back to continue breaking down Rent, after some changes behind the scenes. He brings in David Kincannon, from Podvocacy, to dive deep into the movie and the broadway show. They look at the differences between the shows, especially the character of Joann, (We're Okay), and the story of Benny and Mimi being pushed later into the movie. Then, they look at Christmas Bells and what made the movie and how this is one of the hardest songs to learn as a fan. Finally we get to the Life Cafe for a party, romance and a riot, as they break down in detail, La Vie Boheme A, I Should Tell You and La Vie Boheme B.
It's the day after Christmas and Blake and Mandy are ready to discuss the meaning behind Will I?, the fun of Sante Fe and the romance in I'll Cover You.
