Are you as good today as you were a year ago? Think about that for a second—if you have the same mindset, skills, knowledge and perspective you did last year, you’re not improving. When you don’t improve, you’re unable to offer those around you the best ‘you’! For me Personal Development has helped me handle hard things in life, given me new perspective and shown me how I can be a better version of myself. I know it will you too. :-)  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support

It’s okay, you can finally admit it. It’s been two months since you’ve seen the inside of the gym. Getting sick, family crisis, overtime at work and school papers that needed to get finished all kept you for exercising. Now, the question is: how do you start again? and WOOHOO! Making it to 550 is a big deal! Thank you to all of my supporters!  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
In the journey of growth, there are times when we grow and excel. We are endlessly driven and hyped up, motivated to get our goals. Then there are times when we stagnate. We feel uninspired and unmotivated. We keep procrastinating on our plans. More often than not, we get out of a rut only to get back into another one. Today I share a few steps that I took and continually take to get "unstuck." I'd love to hear from you and hear what's helped or what else you've done to help when you feels stagnant.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
General opinion: In order to achieve what we really want in life, we have to make sacrifices. My opinion: It's a matter of prioritizing the time, resources and opportunities you have in front of you. Sometimes that's going to be saying no to certain things, today I talk about 8 areas in life where successful people have needed to "Re-Prioritize" their time, resources and opportunities... or sacrifice some things if that's how you want to talk about it. ;-) --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
I've found that having a nightly or at least an evening reflection routine that gets done a few times a week I am more centered the next day, get better sleep and have more connection in my relationships. So today I'm sharing a few evening inventory questions you can ask yourself to have the same kind of experience.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
If you're not getting to where you want in life, start reflecting on what kinds of questions you're asking yourself. Your brain is designed to always find the answer, so ask it things that give you a positive result!  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support

LIKE- SHARE - SAVE Someone asked me how I handle rejection. I said, "Poorly and personally." I thought about it a little bit later and realized, the best way to handle rejection is to, "Share it before it becomes a secret." You have to tell someone else what happened or it will morph from an event to a secret to part of your identity. It's not easy, but sharing a rejection with a friend defangs and declaws the hurt. We think we can take on the world most days. However, the one thing we always forget to do is ask for help when life starts to overwhelm us. This past episode details how asking for help can be a good thing and not a sign of weakness. Remixing it up for Monday.  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
There are a lot of opinions out there and really there is only 1 that really matters… okay, maybe 2. God’s and your own. Everyone else’s is just extra. It’s really easy these days with all that’s going on to feel judged by others; but it’s a choice. Yes, to feel judged is a choice and today I share how and why. Love today's episode? Where do you find your Identity? For me, a lot of my identity used to be in what I was doing, what I was accomplishing and the titles of the roles I played. Over the last 6 years I've learned a lot more about how fleeting and defeating that kind of thinking can be. Reading the book "Chop Wood, Carry Water" by Joshua Medcalf, I came across Chapter 8 and it spoke RIGHT to my Soul. Today most of the podcast is sharing that 1 chapter with you & then a challenge at the end in my own commentary. Enjoy! --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
We have a longstanding saying in our house that later I learned came from Wayne Dyer. "Boredom is a choice" We don't allow our kids to say they are bored, we remind our students that there is always something to do... and recently I listened to a podcast that challenged my thinking around boredom. I share those new thoughts with you today in this podcast "Boredom is a Choice" and challenge you to "get bored" and get creative. :-)  --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/choosetoriseup/support
