Apologies for being away for so long, I'm finally back and I have some amazing annoucements and news. Thank you to everyone who has stuck by me and the pod, I appreciate every single one of you. 24 year old Annie Le was an exceptionally bright and promising young woman. At the age of just 24, she was working towards her doctorate with studies in pharmacology at Yale University and was getting ready to get married and settle down. Everyone who knew Annie described her as a bright and smart young woman and when she disappeared just 5 days before she was due to get married, her husband-to-be knew that it wasn’t a case of cold feet. Before Annie could ever graduate and walk across the stage at Yale, her life was taken away from her. 18-year-old Tammy Lynn Leppert was anything but your average 18-year-old from Rockledge Florida. By the time she had turned 18, Tammy had participated in over 300 beauty contests, taking the crown 280 times and was on the path to stardom. She had recently picked up two small roles in Hollywood films, the most notable of which being ‘Scarface’. But this fame and fortune wasn’t as glamorous as it seemed, behind the scenes, Tammy was exhibiting bizarre behaviour and when she mysteriously disappeared in July 1983, a whole host of questions came bubbling to the surface. 4-year-old Aron Siermans looked up at his paternal grandmother Anne and said “Mummy’s up there.” The uneasy feeling in Anne’s stomach grew, knowing that her daughter, Sharon would never leave Aron unsupervised. Annie Borjessen was born and grew up in Sweden but always had a longing and love for Scotland. In 2004, Annie’s dreams came true when she moved from her native Sweden to Scotland to study English. Her family were over the moon for her, every time they spoke she seemed incredibly happy and was excited to see what her next adventure would be. Sadly, those adventures would be tragically cut short in what is one of Scotland’s most mysterious deaths. In January 2010 builders began works on the carpark located between Angel Street, Danztic Street and Muller Street in Manchester. On January 25th 2010 builders at the site made a bone-chilling discovery. As they were working, one of them came across a human skull. When they dug further they found the rest of the skeleton wrapped in sections of blue carpet. As of 2021, the remains are still unidentified and she is known only as "The Angel of the Meadow". The lives of the Fellows and Hadaway families would be forever changed on October 9th 1986, sending them on a 32-year hunt for justice. Femicide - the killing of a woman or girl, in particular by a man and on account of her gender. Countries across the globe are facing an epidemic, that epidemic is not a disease but nonetheless, an epidemic that is claiming the lives of young women. According to a 2000 report by the U.N at least 5,000 women are victims of femicide each year.In 2013 one woman in Juarez decided that enough was enough and that she was going to take matters into her own hands. On March 19th 2009 Claudia Lawrence left her home at 5am for York University where she worked as a chef. Claudia would never be seen or heard from again. 40-year-old Diane Louise Augat left her home at the 1000 block of Chesapeake Drive in Odessa, Florida on April 10th 1998. Diane was spotted a day later walking along U.S 19 in Hudson, Florida. At 20:15, a 31-year-old woman was rushed into the emergency room, paramedics dashed her through sets of double doors, curtains and various corridors before putting her into a curtained-off section of trauma room one.The woman was clinging onto consciousness, taking rapid, shallow breaths. She responded to medical personnel questions with vague, incoherent babbling. Her heart rate was rapidly accelerating and her breathing becoming shallower by the minute, everyone in the ER feared that she wouldn’t make it and tried to make her as comfortable as possible.What transpired over the next 45 minutes would leave medical staff and forensic investigators stunned. This week, Drewby and Yergy shift gears to a local case that has haunted the community of Jay, Maine for 3 decades - one that we hope will soon be solved so that she can be laid to rest and her family can have some long deserved closure. This week we are discussing the disappearance of Kimberly Moreau.Kim Moreau was a beautiful 17 year old girl that went missing from the small mill town of Jay, ME after skipping her junior prom following a fight with her then boyfriend. It is alleged that she spent the day with a friend and two 25 year old men joyriding in a white Trans AM, although the events of May 10th and 11th, 1986 unclear and subject to wide rumor and speculation.Kim's family has never given up hope - handling much of the investigative legwork themselves after local and state police proved to be grossly negligent in the handling of Kim's case. There have been many extensive searches in recent years, and police allege that of all of the missing person cases in the state, Kim's case is the one in which they receive the most frequent tips, even after 3 decades.
