During this episode, parenting coaches Dr. Scott Turansky and Elena Zwetsloot are talking about the importance of coaching, as a skill for parents. The word “coach” implies two important things when it comes to parenting. First, the relationship is one of partnership instead of being a policeman. And second, practice is an essential ingredient for change, especially in deeply rooted issues.  Here are some things to remember about coaching:Kids can only take as much pressure as the relationship allows, so keep the relationship as close and strong as possible. As you coach your child remember that you are emulating what God does for us. He sends us a coach, the Holy Spirit, to guide, lead, convict, comfort, counsel, and help. A coaching attitude puts you on the same team as the child instead of encouraging an opponent role. Enjoy this episode and for more information on Elena Zwetsloot, please visit: www.elenazwetsloot.comFor more information on Dr. Scott's ministry and work, follow www.biblicalparenting.org.

How do you define strengths and weaknesses? Here is what they mean to me. Strengths are activities that I LOVE doing, that give me energy and I  look forward to. Such as writing and coaching. They make me feel confident and strong. Weaknesses are activities that I can excel at, yet dread to do them. For example, I am very good at Project Management but I take no enjoyment or energy from it. Every few years I take the  Gallup strengthsfinder assessment and every time their result resonates a lot with my own findings.  Here are my top 5 strengths: Strategic, Learner, Intellection, Empathy, and responsibility. What are your strengths? My guest Sascha Fogel knows all about how to find and use your strengths. She built her career on capabilities that came naturally to her and skills she learned along the way - and over time she refined it to focus on the things she loved and gave her power. Sascha is danish and she currently lives in Amsterdam with her family and in this episode, she shares how she rolled into her first job in sales, how she created her first internship in NY and what took her from teaching, to coaching and to sales enablement. Sascha’s story is inspiring and a powerful testimony to how self-awareness, drive and ambition are crucial when using your strengths and skills to build up a fulfilling career. If you enjoyed this episode, please subscribe and give it a positive review. Until next time doesn’t forget: Share your stories to inspire others.
