Description
Tiziana lives in Rome as an Apostle of the Interior Life. The Apostles are consecrated women who dedicate themselves full time to prayer, study (particularly philosophy and theology), community life and spiritual apostolate. The community of Apostles of Interior Life (AVI), officially approved by the Church of Rome in 1996, is present in Rome with an apostolic house and a house of formation as well as University of Kansas-Lawrence and Texas A&M in College Station.Their apostolate focuses primarily on young adults through evangelization (the Apostles take the initiative to approach them in their meeting places and particularly on campus and university residences) and spiritual accompaniment. They carry out popular missions, catechesis for deepening of the faith, cultural debates, lectures on current issues, prepare for marriage, preach retreats and spiritual exercises addressed also to the clergy and members of male and female religious institutes. The Apostles pursue three main apostolic objectives: 1 introduction to the life of prayer. Everywhere in every structure we hear about the importance of prayer. However it is necessary for someone to stand by you as you learn from the Holy Spirit; 2. help to discern the will of God in everyday life in order to embrace one's state of life with determination and fidelity; 3. form to do apostolate. It is not uncommon to find people who are very busy, very attentive to the life of faith and to the life of prayer, but which often fail to communicate to others the treasure they have inside. Faith is strengthened through sharing. Together with the School of Faith the Apostles put on the Catholic Spiritual Mentorship Program, a program of formation to become apostles (teaching others to pray, grow in virtue, and make good decisions through appropriate communication techniques) and to make themselves available to respond to people's growing need to be listened to, supported, and encouraged. Over the years the Apostles have formed other branches: the priestly branch, the branch of consecrated laywomen, the lay branch of the Family of the Apostles of the Interior Life, binding themselves with promises to live the charism of the Apostles according to their state of life.
