Depression, burnout and suicide occur at higher rates in the medical profession than in many other fields. Nearly one in three doctors or nurses is clinically depressed, and approximately 400 physicians take their own lives every year. These numbers are doubled compared to that of the general population. Yet only 6 percent of medical professionals who are diagnosed with depression report it to their state medical board. In today's program, we're going to talk about how the latest clinical studies into the field of mental wellness are having a positive impact on the mental health, vitality and physical wellness.
