#716 | Defeat snatched from the jaws of victory at Stamford Bridge. Just when we thought we'd seen he most braindead performance of the season, Erik ten Hag's men come up with a new low. What a miserable way to lose a game, even if a spot in next season's Champions League had probably already escaped the club. #710 United beat Everton at Old Trafford to (just about) stay in the hunt for a Champions League place following two penalties from Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford. This was far from a vintage performance from United, who once again let a poor quality opposition rack-up more than 20 shots. #706 United lose at home to Fulham and despite many lows this season, this was one of the most dispiriting defeats. Has Erik ten Hag learned nothing from 15 defeats in all competitions this season? And with Ten Hag asking people to look at the big picture, does the Dutchman realise United's future may not include him should the season end without trophies and Champions League football. Ed & Dan ask the questions and then look ahead to Forest in the Cup. Ed & Tom talk about the new dawn at United, Ratcliffe's rapid moves to improve football operations and plans for Old Trafford's development. Then there's the weekend game against Fulham to preview. #704 Victory over Luton followed a now familiar pattern, with Erik ten Hag's side unable to produce a controlled performance despite scoring twice in the opening minutes. Rasmus Hojlund's double gave United the best possible start, but slowly Luton got back into the game and came close to pulling off an unlikely draw. Ed & Dan dig into another curious performance. #703 United score late to beat Aston Villa at Villa Park. It was no vintage performance from Ten Hag's team, but once again Scott McTominay scored a crucial goal. Really enjoying the content and tone. The politics is context and I think it's absolutely necessary. Thank you for the regularity too.

The show has descended into a bi weekly lecture on intersectionality and general woke bullshit.. Ed and Paul used to have an everyday fan point of view for years but the last few seasons they have decided to virtual signal the shit out of a once great podcast while infantilizing black and female players..

When do you think Ed and Paul will figure out that people who subscribe to a Manchester United podcast don't want to hear about politics? Otherwise we would just subscribe to a political podcast?

I've been listening to NQAT or what I know as The Rant Cast on and off for over a decade now. The chat about United is mostly good and informative, however the divergence in to politics has increased as the years have gone on. The typical labels of calling anyone who challenges Ed and Paul's views as racist, sexist, bigots, to name but a few have become tiresome over time. In the latest pod there was a sizeable amount of time spent talking politics over previewing the Manchester Derby.

very obvious agenda against Shaw which is so poor of you. clearly our whole team is suffering ever since his injury and you are trying to target him as a weak link. it must be personal as otherwise you don't really know football...

When they discuss United it's a quality listen, but too often Ed wants to be divisive and always go on about how some fans are idiots, racists, bigots. etc etc.... If it happened once then it wouldn't be a problem, but Ed is probably one of the worst hosts I've ever listened too. Paul is quality and often looks for the good in situations.
