Waves of The Bay blends Hip-Hop and R&B with an emphasis on the talented artists and producers of Tampa Bay. The focus centers on bringing attention to the stars in our own backyard and allowing them to shine.

Hosts Tone Kapone and DJ Spaceship interview local talent and also incorporate their music into the playlist and rotation. Tune in on Saturdays from 10 pm to 12am!

We spent the majority of Episode 68 highlighting Black History Month and some of the songs that depict the beautiful struggle. From Common & John Legend, to Tobe Nwigwe, with a sprinkle of Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley we had fun putting our touch on the month of February. Episode 67 of Waves Of The Bay was a testament to what we do and why we do it. The first part of the show focused on the artists who recently submitted music for airplay. We spent a few minutes wrapping up the Super Bowl and discussing what happened for Episode 66 of Waves Of The Bay. Being in Tampa for the W was crazy but as a Chiefs fan it was rough for Tone! He laid out how his team took the L and who we expect to be in the Big Game next year. DJ Spaceship also brought something he heard to the Waves Of The Bay table. He had heard a compelling argument that Cee-Lo was ultimately the GOAT of Atlanta. Episode 65 was the leadup to the Super Bowl, which just so happened to be in our beloved Tampa Florida. With the hometown Bucs playing Tone's KC Chiefs we had to do it up big. Tone ran through a set of some KC music to get the Bay acquainted with his town. We talked to Jroc Jones back in August about his yearly event that is usually thrown for his Birthday. Well of course with the Rona running rampant our plans changed and moved all the way to December.
