The Fort Hood Spouses' Club has a defining purpose of bringing together people here at Fort Hood to not only build a network of like-minded individuals, but to also advance the quality of life of military families and the surrounding community. Twenty four people are either physically abused, raped or stalked every minute of every day, totaling 12,614,400 victims of domestic abuse annually, a crisis that domestic violence programs want to bring attention to for education and prevention. Steven Draper, Fort Hood museums director, stops by the studio this week to provide an update on construction of the National Mounted Warrior Museum, which will be located between the Visitor's Center and the 1st Cavalry Division Horse Cavalry Detachment's stables. The project is moving along nicely, with a "soft-opening" projected for the summer of 2022.
