The Kings of Israel were great and wise in many ways. But they also made some mistakes. When we sin and choose not to repent. We can lose the blessings of our covenants. David and Solomon remind us of this truth.
The Israelites really wanted Samuel to appoint a King over them as he got older. The Lord provided two great men as the first kings of Israel including one very familiar young man.
Our stories this week teach us a lot about some really faithful heroes in the Old Testament. Ruth was such a faithful hard-worker that she blessed the lives of many generations! Hannah received answers to her prayers and Samuel became the first prophet in many years.
We have some really crazy stories this week! What lessons can we learn from Deborah and Delilah?
We missed a few weeks but we are back and the Israelites are still journeying to the Promised Land. The Lord gives some commandments to help the Israelites become his Covenant people.
So far in the Old Testament we have learned about a lot of prophets and their stories. From Adam to Joseph to Moses there are lessons and symbols of the Atonement. Let's learn about a few!
Finally Pharaoh has allowed the Israelites to leave but the challenges aren't over yet! How can the people of Israel escapes the Egyptians chasing them with a giant sea in front of them?
Exodus 7-13The Lord through Moses and Aaron commands Pharaoh to let the Israelite slaves go. When he refused, the Lord sent 10 different plagues to show Pharaoh His power and force him to obey.
Genesis 37-41This week we meet Joseph, Jacob's favorite son. His brothers didn't like that very much and Joseph's store turns into quite an adventure.
This week we get to learn all about Rebekah and the story of Jacob and Esau. Such interesting scripture stories can teach us so much about life today!
The dramatic story of Abraham and Isaac. After Abraham and Sarah finally were blessed with a child, Isaac was almost taken from them.

This podcast is great because it teaches us important things about all the people in the scriptures. We love your podcast! -Review by my 5 year old :) Seriously we love this podcast and we listen to it every night while they fall asleep.
We love, love, love Sunbeam podcast at our house. It's a great way to reinforce the CFM lessons with my kids every week. They love answering the questions. The stories are taught in a way children enjoy and can understand. It's a great thing to do while driving in the car. Thanks Megan and Gabe for all you do!
