Matthew talks about his crazy 1st season which involves playing in the Big Ten, multiple 20+ day road trips, during covid, and still managing to have 12 goals so far (Tied for 2nd in the NCAA). This week on Pucks in deep out of RIT, we junior forward and alternate captain, Will Calverley. Calverley who's already registered 10 points in 6 games this season is on the show to talk about his hot start as well as what the atmosphere around RIT is like this year. The Tigers who have started the season 3-2-1 and have showed a lot of offense in those games by tallying 25 goals in 6 games, with Calverley getting 6 of those. Calverley touches on his time at RIT so far, his pathway from Chilliwack to RIT, his game day regimen, and more. The boys go over the gameplan for Sacred Heart who comes to town on Monday, why Ty chose Quinnipiac over more "known" schools, how it felt to be drafted in the 3rd round by the Florida Panthers, what his game-day routine is, and much more. This week on Pucks in deep we have Providence Friar and Senior forward Jack Adams join the show. Adams a Detroit Red Wings draft pick and a transfer from Union College is looking to put the finishing touch on his college career by winning a national championship for the Friars like his late brother Mark did back in 2015. Adams who has been through it all in life talks about all the adversity he's faced throughout his hockey career and explains his outlook on both life and hockey. The ECH boys are fortunate enough to sit down with the senior to discuss the college hockey lifestyle, the differences between the ECAC and the Hockey East, and what it takes to make it to the next level. This week on Pucks in Deep, out of AIC, we have this years Comeback Player of the Year, Eric Otto. The ECH boys were lucky enough to sit down with the Redshirt Freshmen and discuss his amazing comeback to play division I hockey after battling Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma and beating it! Otto talks about what it was like going through his battle and how it affected both his life and his hockey Career. Otto also goes on to talk about what it means for him to be back in room with the boys and what he is most excited for heading into the second half of the 2021 season. AIC who is currently atop of the Atlantic Hockey Conference will need big contributions from Otto and others to make, what would be their 2nd NCAA tournament appearance in 5 years under head coach Eric Lang. Otto and the ECH Boys go over the importance of eating pucks, getting pucks in deep, and staying healthy during a season masked by Covid. This week on Pucks in Deep we have junior forward from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Taylor Ward.  Ward, heading into what will be a season of change due to Covid, talks about Omaha being one of the hosts locations for the NCHC this season as well as what to expect from the Mavericks this year. This man doesn't block the most shots in the world but boy oh boy can he put the puck in the back of the net as he had a team leading 16 goals last year. Also on this weeks episode, Ward talks about his development through Juniors to where he is now as a leader for the Mavericks. Lastly, the ECH boys talk about the nearby college hockey season, how many pucks were going to be getting deep this season and what to expect from the rest of college hockey!
This week on Pucks in Deep we have Army West Point goalie Trevin Kozlowski. The Black Knights goalie and the ECH boys discuss Army’s success last season as well as what they have to do to get back in the top 20 this season. Also, the boys talk about Trevin’s path to Army and what it’s like training for the military, going to school and playing division I hockey all at the same time. Trevin gives us incredible insight as to what his daily life looks like while on his path to the pro’s on this weeks episode of Pucks in Deep.
This week on Pucks in Deep we have Cornell Forward and Vancouver Canucks draft pick, Jack Malone! Malone joins us to talk about the upcoming season and the run the Big Red went on last year! Malone tells us about the atmosphere at the Lynah as well as the the adjustment the boys will have to make with no fans this year.  Lastly we have story time with Jack, as he talks about his time in the USHL and the moment he was drafted by the Canucks. This week on Pucks in Deep we have another Minnesota kid out of Edina, Ben Copeland. Copeland who spent his time playing for the Waterloo Blackhawks of the USHL in Juniors, will now be entering his junior season with the Colorado College Tigers. Copeland joins the pod this week to talks about his path to CC and why he chose CC over other schools. Also on this weeks episode, we talk about the back to school phase and how CC is going about their fall semester and when we might see college hockey start back up. When we do start back up, Copeland will look to add to his 39 points in his first seasons. This week on Pucks in Deep we have UMASS goaltender Matt Murray join the ECH Boys to talk about how UMASS has turned their program around and is now a team that finds themselves at the top of the NCAA. We also talk about Murray's come up and his time at UMASS so far. Murray who holds the schools record for most wins in a single season will be entering into his senior season with the Minutemen looking for another trip to the frozen four.
