According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders are the most common of mental disorders and will affect almost 30 percent of adults at some point in their lives. Author Wes Woodson’s I Have Anxiety (So What?): The Unapologetic Guide to Owning Your Anxiety explores mental health, anxiety, and self-empowerment for Generation Z, the most anxious and depressed generation.Woodson dispels the level of shame that exists around talking about anxiety and mental health overall with a narrative that aims to free his generation from striving to be perfect and, unapologetically, moving towards accepting themselves unashamedly. His Book, I Have Anxiety (So What?) educates the reader about surefire ways to take control, and includes personal stories about those who have learned to better manage their anxiety and succeed at self-improvement. The book is a testament to how authentic storytelling combined with scholarly research comes together to encourage the reader to take back the power from their anxiety once and for all!"I believe in the power of storytelling and using stories to make an impact in the world through my entrepreneurial endeavors. I am founder of the hidden, a movement presented through the form of street-wear clothing, through which I encourage people to be themselves, un-apologetically, and embrace their uniqueness."Writing with Authors Episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5H2oKRQRMx8&list=PLat9MDCRaOgKnpjC528PB3BxtG9snH6aaLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/weswoodson/Guest Website: weswoodson.comGuest Book: https://www.amazon.com/Have-Anxiety-So-What-Unapologetic-ebook/dp/B095R6CNSB/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=wes+woodson&qid=1652877341&sr=8-1This is A Mental Health Break - the podcast where we normalize the conversation on mental health. The Ghislane Maxwell trial is something many have heard a lot about over the past year, but where did you consume this information? Was it accurate? After ending up at an Epstein/ Maxwell party, our guest has decided to use her voice to help those who are silent. In her lifetime, Molly Skye Brown has survived abandonment, abduction, rape, sexual violence and manipulation, psychological abuse, emotional abuse, food and substance addictions, body dysmorphia, suicide attempts, divorce, an extramarital affair, estrangement and complete loss of self as well as her faith in a loving God.She brings her exquisite personal “light” humor to every dark shadow from her past. Enlightening her audiences that humor can greatly help transcend even the darkest and most shameful of secrets. Her work has not only shifted her own debilitating PTSD symptoms and repeated suicide attempts, but has helped the hundreds of silent survivors she divinely encounters and coaches.Molly was born in the affluent and visually stunning peninsula of Monterey, California in 1978. From the ages of six - nine, she was living in the prestigious and gated community of the coveted Pebble Beach neighborhood where she began being stalked, brazenly molested and finally brutally raped by a neighborhood friend’s father, that lived just three houses away. Divine intervention occurred when her family moved across country to south Florida just a few weeks after the final attack.WELCOME BACK to A Mental Health Break. Meet Jaclyn Francis: “A Journey Destined to Be Shared”I started Sesh because Reiki changed my life. It’s one of those things you don’t fully understand until you try it for yourself, and my experience was so life changing I found myself telling everyone about it.Reiki showed me just how important our personal energy is for our overall well-being, and by simply healing it so much can change within yourself and the life you’re creating.‍It made me begin to look at how society focuses so much on our physical when it comes to self-care and why we aren’t encouraged to take care of our personal energy. Especially, if we already discovered through Quantum Physics that everything is energy. So, it's my mission to bring Energy Healing to the forefront of our self-care routines by giving you a platform and brand that confidently inspires you to heal your energy.Guest WebsiteContact GuestReady Sesh Go InstagramWELCOME BACK to A Mental Health Break. Some people are born with a drive often seen in entrepreneurs, pro-athletes, inventors, adventurers and Navy SEALs. It’s in their DNA — research has shown that certain genes can manifest resilient and highly focused people who can also be impulsive and easily distracted. While these traits enabled our ancient ancestors to survive, if you have these traits today, it can create havoc in your life. You may be diagnosed with ADHD or OCD. But what the world tells you is a disorder may actually be your greatest gift. This show offers a one-of-a-kind conversation including his distortion on self-sabotage, the Stanford Prison Study, and a spotlight story on BF Skinner. The most major mindset shift I had to make while becoming a career artist was the idea that "real work" involved sweat and using my hands. This mindset had me believing two things throughout my journey: First, that I was always one step away from becoming broke and homeless. Second, if I were a responsible adult, I should quit and get a real job. Throughout this struggle, I've battled a clinically low baseline for contentment. In other words, my depression takes the shape of permanent melancholy and I struggle to keep a level of satisfaction in what I do. Every day is a battle to keep on working toward my dreams. - Jason MatiasWELCOME BACK to A Mental Health Break. This is the show where we normalize the conversation on mental health.
