Kelly Dobes had a plan when she moved to Texas from the Greater Chicago area, and that plan revolved around Celina, Texas. Kelly's brothers introduced her to Celina, and she instantly fell in love. After losing her husband to ALS, Kelly and her kiddos needed a place to heal. It is amazing that it took more than 40 episodes to get Pat Hunn on Life in Celina. He's the perfect guest for this community podcast. He is a long-time resident, member of the 1974 state championship football team and he's been the voice of Bobcats for more than 30 years. That's not even mentioning the amazing things he's doing outside of Celina. (Spoiler alert: He's "The Pickle King of the World.") Jai Ellis and her team at Celina Drug went above and beyond during the Covid-19 pandemic. They not only led the charge for vaccinations in Celina and the surrounding communities, they provided hope as well. Jai's servant heart and her selflessness earned her recognition from the city. Eddie Cawlfield's journey to Celina, Texas, is a little out of the ordinary. It took a terrible diagnosis and a lot of wishing, dreaming and praying to bring him back to this community. Now, there is a sense of peace and joy inside the Cawlfield family. Those dreams of having a business on the square in Celina have come to fruition. Torii Hunter has a lot of heart. That was obvious every time he stepped on the baseball field during his 19-year career in Major League Baseball. And even though he's hung up his cleats, Torii Hunter's heart continues to shine through – whether he's talking about his family or his education initiative. He also has a heart for Celina, Texas. Talking to Terrence Wheatley – former second-round draft pick of the New England Patriots – you would think he has called Celina, Texas, home forever. He loves this community, and he's not afraid to express his feelings. The crazy part of his impressive story, he hasn't even lived in Celina for 2 years. After growing up in North Carolina and north Dallas ... playing college football in Boulder, Colorado ... and getting a shot at the NFL, Terrence Wheatley eventually found a community that "checks all the boxes." He said moving to Celina was the best decision his family every made. Doug Momary has had some wonderfully great "accidents" happen in his life. From the creation of his wildly-popular kids' show – New Zoo Revue – in the early 70s, to "accidentally" ending up in Celina, he has been blessed many times. When Clint Bissett moved to Celina, Texas, he jumped in with both feet. He was handed the reins of an engineering firm in Downtown Celina, but Clint Bissett wanted more.
