In this episode, Ashley Surma is joined by a special guest — Lisa Vilella, founder of Mimi's Mission. Lisa shares how her charitable journey led her to becoming an advocate for children on the spectrum. When she saw a lack of support for kids with autism, she began a group offering resources, tools, and a community for families impacted. With 1 in 25 kids expected to be diagnosed with autism by the year 2025, Lisa shares the importance of raising awareness and bringing education to our communities. The organization is currently rolling out a program called 911 Ready to educate first responders on how to handle people with special needs during emergency situations.
