We start off talking about the Nintendo Direct that just came out recently. The most exciting news for us was the Skyward Sword HD reveal. We talk about that game a lot. We also dive into the other announcements like Mario Golf Super Rush, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC, Animal Crossing: New Horizons DLC, and Splatoon 3.We then have a conversation on playing multiple games at the same time. Is it something that we like to do? If we only prefer to play one game at a time, why? How does it make knowing the controls more difficult?Afterwards, we address those bad gaming days. The days where you just can't accomplish anything in gaming. Maybe you are dying too much. Maybe you can't find something needed for a mission. Perhaps you forgot where to go next.We end with a discussion on the first person perspective as we are both playing Cyberpunk 2077. Is it an acquired taste? Is there a difference between RPGs and shooters?Help support the showBecome a monthly patron: https://www.patreon.com/tgpzmediaMake a one-time donation: https://www.paypal.me/tgpzmediaDiscord: https://discordapp.com/invite/ETRz9bEFacebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gamingrealm/Podcast Website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/799910Website: https://www.tgpzgaming.com/Twitter (Busted Buttons): https://twitter.com/BustedButtonsPCTwitter (TGPZ Gaming): https://twitter.com/TGPZGamingInstagram (Busted Buttons): https://www.instagram.com/bustedbuttonspc/Instagram (TGPZ Gaming): https://www.instagram.com/tgpzgaming/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TGPZGaming/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/tgpzgamingPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/TGPZGamingShop/Two Guys Playing Zelda (TGPZ)Website: https://www.twoguysplayingzelda.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/zeldarealm/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TwoGuysPlayingZeldaTwitter: https://twitter.com/2guysplayzeldaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Support the show

How cool is it to see the perspective from two different individuals?Afterwards, we dive into buying remakes and what we like to see from them. How different do we want the game to be? We start off with New Super Lucky's Tale and a discussion around the retro levels you get to play after you beat the game. That leads us into an episode focused entirely on retro gaming. We first address the music and sound of that time. What tunes still ring in our head? How creative were the developers with limited technology? We then talk about our gaming experiences as kids. What was it like walking into a Toys-R-Us back in the day? Do we miss receiving physical games as birthday and Christmas presents? What were game stores like?Afterwards, we dive into the simplicity of the games. Do we miss anything about having a limited number of buttons and controls? What was it like to pop in a game right away and play without having to run updates and patches?Talking simplicity takes us to the originality of the games. How creative were games back then? What was it like when every franchise was pretty much new? We end by discussing the nostalgia of these games and why we don't play as many retro games as we would like to.Help support the showBecome a monthly patron: https://www.patreon.com/tgpzmediaMake a one-time donation: https://www.paypal.me/tgpzmediaDiscord: https://discordapp.com/invite/ETRz9bEFacebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gamingrealm/Podcast Website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/799910Website: https://www.tgpzgaming.com/Twitter (Busted Buttons): https://twitter.com/BustedButtonsPCTwitter (TGPZ Gaming): https://twitter.com/TGPZGamingInstagram (Busted Buttons): https://www.instagram.com/bustedbuttonspc/Instagram (TGPZ Gaming): https://www.instagram.com/tgpzgaming/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TGPZGaming/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/tgpzgamingPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/TGPZGamingShop/Two Guys Playing Zelda (TGPZ)Website: https://www.twoguysplayingzelda.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/zeldarealm/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TwoGuysPlayingZeldaTwitter: https://twitter.com/2guysplayzeldaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Support the show

Do Microsoft and Sony care about winning or just profits? We then dive into trophies/achievements in games. Why does Nintendo not have them? How much do they mean to us? How many do we try to get?Afterwards, we talk about the magic of Nintendo. What exactly is it and how do they pull it off? What makes us keep coming back to games that were released decades ago on the NES, SNES, or N64? Do any Xbox or PlayStation games have this magic?Later, we discuss gamers that only play one game and also how time can fly when you are playing video games. We end with some talk about the current games we are playing. These include Ghost of Tsushima, Tomb Raider, and Super Mario 64.Help support the showBecome a monthly patron: https://www.patreon.com/tgpzmediaMake a one-time donation: https://www.paypal.me/tgpzmediaDiscord: https://discordapp.com/invite/ETRz9bEFacebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gamingrealm/Podcast Website: https://www.buzzsprout.com/799910Website: https://www.tgpzgaming.com/Twitter (Busted Buttons): https://twitter.com/BustedButtonsPCTwitter (TGPZ Gaming): https://twitter.com/TGPZGamingInstagram (Busted Buttons): https://www.instagram.com/bustedbuttonspc/Instagram (TGPZ Gaming): https://www.instagram.com/tgpzgaming/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/TGPZGaming/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/tgpzgamingPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/TGPZGamingShop/Two Guys Playing Zelda (TGPZ)Website: https://www.twoguysplayingzelda.com/Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/zeldarealm/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/TwoGuysPlayingZeldaTwitter: https://twitter.com/2guysplayzeldaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/twoguysplayingzelda/Support the show

Ive personally always used subtitles mainly cause you never know of you can even hear them, some games have very quiet people or the music cam overpower it, also it just helps me understand the dialog better in my mind if I read and hear it vs just hear it. Also cant say Ive played many games with stretched out endings maybe Im lucky for that

Ratchet and clank 2 and 3 my two most favorite games ever made I have already played over 18 times each and Ill GLADLY play them again if they have backwards compatibility.. also the speedrunning community, any game that can be played on the new consoles may have much faster load times and heavily change the leaderboards

after super mario RPG there was Parper mario 64 on the 64 obviously, then Paper mario Thousand year door on the gamecube, the most well known one, then Super paper mario for the Wii which arguably has the best story but changed the gameplay completely taking out the turn based combat, then Sticker star and color splash for the 3DS were the last installments with Paper Jam too but Paper Jam is like a side story iirc. personally if you want a good RPG Mario game, Thousand year door on Gamecube, or ANY of the mario and Luigi's are great, specifically superstar saga and bowsers inside story, I didnt really like partners in time and I was too lazy to finish dream team cause it feels super slow. but they're all great games in their own way, paper mario sticker star and Mario and luigi partners in time are the absolute worst in their respective series imo

PS+ is much better than Xbox Gold about it in my experience, then again Ive ALWAYS had a membership but Ive heard from others nobody has complained about never playing a game, they just say you cant access some online things but like my friends can play Destiny 2 but they cant party up with people, they still see other people online in their games I think just no "Party" with others, I just pay for the PS+ cause 60 dollars a year isnt bad all things considered. As for PS now I havent done anything yet with them besides just Sly 2 and 3 its a decent ish platform but not really worth it for me I got like one or 2 months then cancelled when I was done playing them, they didnt have a few games I really wanted. but idk I have Xbox one and PS4, and only Ps4 online is worth it imo, Ive never been pleased with Xbox Gold, not even when I played Xbox daily let alone now when I barely touch Xbox lol. idk to each their own but ps4 and Nintendo are the only couple subscriptions I would deem worth i
