On this week's episode, I pulled in a group of friends together to have a discussion about the impacts of Covid-19 on their lives and businesses. Jessica Wittman is a Photographer & Digital Marketer, Tim Bedford is a restaurant owner, entrepreneur, and teacher in Vancouver BC and Chris Lillico is a DJ and essential services provider in Victoria. Enjoy! Please note, since we are practicing social distancing, this podcast was recorded on Zoom. So the audio quality is not the same as usual, but there is still a lot of great info here!

Anput is an artist that I'm really excited about. Her taste, her approach, her intellect, you could say I am a very big fan of her work as an artist, and events and culture curator. I feel that it's an exciting time in the emerging artist space, renewal and fresh ideas are on the horizon and that always makes me feel great about the future and what we can learn from this new generation. The pilot episode of Sweat Equity brings anecdotes from DJ Applebaum, locally known in Calgary as Shauna Applebaum; a wonderful hip hop DJ who got her start in the Rockies DJing parties in Banff. Mostly known for her soulful, golden era sets, she is a primary member of the Girls on Decks DJ collective, has performed at many clubs and events around town and is an advocate for LGBTQ+2 DJ Culture. She was kind enough to be my very first guest on the show and we had a great chat about her come up and all the things ahead. Don't forget to subscribe to the Sweat Equity Podcast Playlist on Spotify to hear tracks from all the SE guests including Shauna's of course. Connect with Applebaum on MixcloudConnect with Esette Connect to EXFM
