Description

Nintendo Deep Dive is a one-man retrospective review show that covers in detail every Nintendo Console and handheld system and the game library allotted to each. With each episode, a new Nintendo title will be explored in a deep dive, examining its successes, its blunders and its oddities. Additionally a comparison between the game and other games with which it shares a franchise, genre or console will be provided, followed by a ranking and recommendation. Feel free to send in emails that will be answered on the show. The address is nalistenerq@gmail.com.

Reverse
Aside from a slight rebranding, it's business as usual. A little is said about February's Direct, followed by reviews on Game & Watch Gallery 3, Beetle Adventure Racing, & Doom 64 respectively. Questions or comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com
It's a nice jam-packed episode featuring a discussion on meaningful collectibles, prompted by an email, a critique of one of the Switch's crown jewels, & a review of the sequel to Rare's crown jewel. Going forward the show will be undergoing some brand changes but it will still be the same show. Questions or Comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com
I AM TUROK!!! For episode 42, I'm reviewing Turok 2. It's quite the adventure game, full of monstrous foes, outlandish weaponry & labyrinthian levels; also dinosaurs. Questions or comments, send them to nalistenerq@gmail.com
A review of Jet Force Gemini that's all up & down with the game's highs & lows. Followed by an email section about Ocarina of time. Question or Comment? Send to Nalistenerq@gmail.com
It's a shorter & hopefully more digestible episode for 39. In addition to Yoshi's story, I also touch on Game & Watch Gallery 2. Questions or comments? Please send to nalistenerq@gmail.com
Lo Behold, the Lord of the Waves, Tis Wave Race 64, & bequeathed to me from me for review. There's also more Gameboy Color to talk about in the titles MegaMan Xtreme 2 & Pokemon Puzzle challenge. Questions or comments? Send to nalistenerq@gmail.com
The equivalent to a foreign film (for a foreign audience?), I have Sin & Punishment. Also, 007's The World Is Not Enough for review. Both were released on the N64, the console that I am currently centering my retrospective. I like one game, & don't much care for the other. Questions or comemnts can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com
With my Guest Stephen, we talk Ocarina of time & only Ocarina of time......all the time. A lot of things have been said about this legendary game, & boy howdy we say all of it, & more! Hope you enjoy!Questions or comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com. If you want to reach out to Stephen, lvl1sword@gmail.com
On the show as a guest, we are joined by Stephen from the Level 1 Sword podcast. We talk about Jedi Fallen Order, Pokemon Blue, Age of Calamity, & Fire Emblem Awakening. We then talk about the legacy of N64 development. Questions or comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com
For this one, a brief talk about Nintendo's 3rd party showcase that happened in spring, & some talk about Mario Strikers Charged. Afterward, its reviews for Extreme G, & Mario Party 2. Questions or comments can go to nalistenerq@gmail.com
An episode of ranting & raving. Unfortunately, my chair broke in the 3rd hour, & so there are some loud creaks from that point forth, as well as the intermittent meowing of a cat, faintly audible. The Shantae review begins at the 4-minute mark (or so), The Perfect Dark review starts a minute or so after the hour & 15-minute mark, & Dk64 kicks off at the 2-hour & 20-minute mark, give or take. Questions or comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com to be read on the show.
Unfortunately, Audacity ate the original episode 33, so I threw this together quickly. First section is all about Battle for Naboo, Factor 5's follow up spin-off to rogue squadron, & the second covers Shadows of the Empire. Questions or comments can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com
This episode sees me reviewing two Star Wars classics, & also Warioland 2, I might also talk about other things too. Star Wars Rogue Squadron is a near-perfect distillation of the Star Wars property, and an exercise in procedural gameplay methodology; whereas Star Wars Episode 1 Racer represents the singular pursuit of SPEED! Unfortunately my chair was squeaker than I thought, & at several points, the fan AC was blaring real bad, & I couldn't edit it out w/o it undercutting the audio. Questions or comments go to nalistenerq@gmail.com
In addition to reviewing Smash Bros 64 & Turok dinosaur hunter, you can also enjoy reviews for Donkey kong Land 2 & Game & Watch Gallery. Comments & questions can be sent to nalistenerq@gmail.com.
I'll be pithy with this episode's rundown: I review Molemania & Banjo Kazooie, and I also talk about the closure of Nintendo's legacy eshops, & the February direct. All counted, I had nice things to say, & some not-so-nice things as well. Hope you enjoy. Please email at nalistenerq@gmail.com
I recorded this audio a while ago, but due to extensive editing & limited time, I have only now just finished producing this episode. Regardless I hope anyone listening enjoys it, as I discuss Diddy Kong Racing, & answer an email. Any questions or comments can be shot over to nalistenerq@gmail.com.
This episode is all Star Fox! Considered Iconic by many, it was only fitting that I find an additional person to help me espouse the virtues of Star Fox 64. Stephen (from Level 1 Sword) & I rang as much as we could out of this N64 classic, but even so, I do not think we covered everything this game has to offer. So if you have anything to add on Star Fox 64, a question, or a topic you want discussed, the email is nalistenerq@gmail.com. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the show!
In this episode, I got some much-needed help from Nick & Josh, of the Loud Thumbs podcast, with reviewing an N64 classic. Along with the review, the three of us talked about a litany of other games & topics. All in all, it was a big bag of fun, & is well worth the listen. However, due to a family member coming through the door with groceries, there are some unfortunate, door creaks, bangs, & even paper abg crinkles in the last 30 min of the show. I was very distraught by the noise, & my intonation actually sounds flat & dejected in the last 10 min as a result, but otherwise, the show went swimmingly, so I hope you enjoy. I would also highly recommend checking out Nick & Josh's content by going to loudthumbs.com; they have a cavalcade of content that they produce. As for me, I can be reached at nalistenerq@gmail.com.
As the title suggests the show is moving forward to new horizons, what does that mean? I don't know but it sounded nice. So tune in to see (hear) what is in store. As usual, all comments & questions are appreciated & can be sent to the email nalistenerq@gmail.com

This episode marks the end of my voyage with the Nintendo Wii, at least for now (a lot of games left to talk). I enjoyed my time with the Wii, & I hope you who are listening enjoyed hearing me talk about it. For this final episode, I reviewed Epic Mickey before diving into a number of different topics & lists, all concerning the Wii console, as a final Ode to the System. The next episode will, Lord willing, be the introduction of another piece of Nintendo hardware; so please look forward to that. If you have any questions or comments, send them over to nalistenerq@gmail.com.
