Description

In this podcast — whose profits go to charities helping those affected by Coronavirus — Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani are uniquely qualified to lead you through this forced quarantine situation. They are both writers who work from home. Emily was a therapist and currently is a chronically sick person (see: The Big Sick) who often has to quarantine herself, and Kumail is her main caretaker. Plus, we both just like being at home. Let us advise you on how to stay calm and avoid cabin fever. Let us give you entertainment recommendations. Let us give you constant updates on the squirrel vs. bird war happening right outside our window. Let us not talk about the C word at all. And most of all, let us take all of the proceeds from this podcast and spread it amongst charities that are helping those who are hit hardest by this quarantine. 100% of the Net Revenue* from the podcast will be donated in equal portions to the following charities to support their efforts to assist those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic: https://www.restaurantworkerscf.org/ https://disasterphilanthropy.org/ https://www.feedingamerica.org/ *"Net Revenue” is defined as the “Advertising Gross Revenue” received by Hyperobject Podcast and Three Uncanny Four less agency fees and actual costs incurred to produce, distribute, and promote the Podcast. “Advertising Gross Revenue” is calculated by the (cost per thousand) rate times the total impressions delivered.

I am so glad you mentioned menstruation because I've had the most difficult menstruation I've had in a year or more. Two weeks of PMS and cramping even before menses started and now a long, difficult period. I haven't talked to my mama friends about this, but so glad you mentioned it.

i think some outdoor dining is riskier than others but still pretty risky cuz although they r outside, people r kinda congregated together for a period of time. so i think i would choose a place based on their set up and procedures

people not wearing masks when they go in a public indoor space really pisses me off. there shouldnt be any tolerance for non mask wearers in certain spaces. mask wearing is only effective if every single person in a space does so.

I liked some of the episodes for sure! But to give ways to benefit black lives matter is disgusting. That’s a socialist organization that stands for nothing I fought for America in the marines. I fought with many fantastic black Americans I’d guarantee would give u the middle finger 🖕🏻 ... ✌🏻

I think most countries use salt in their salads (sweet salad dressing is a VERY American thing that was one of my most horrifying discoveries when I moved to the U.S...). In Peru they actually use lime juice and salt as their salad dressing most of the time, and French salad dressings are ALWAYS savory.
