This week’s episode is a little late, a little different, and a little more personal. I’m running late this week because I’ve only just had the chance to set up my podcast equipment in my new apartment, where I will be embarking on a new journey of co-parenting my two children with my husband while he and I separate. We are stepping forward as co-parents with deep mutual respect for each other, and for that I am so incredibly grateful. Our main priority now is to give our kids the best life they can receive, in a way that allows us to both to continue being a huge part of their lives. Life transitions like this are hard. There are so many important details to keep in mind in order to make sure that you’re protecting yourself, your children, and your past partner. For example, I’ve been revisiting my estate planning documents lately to ensure that they reflect the new life I’m embarking on. If you haven’t listened to our past episode all about estate planning with Estate Planning Attorney, Ella Gentile, now is a great time to take a listen and consider what estate planning details you need to consider for your business and personal life, should the unexpected happen to you. I’ll be back next week with more legal education, but for this week I just want to impart to you how important it is to be true to yourself and your happiness. Life changes are hard, but they’re worth it if you know it’s the right thing. In the meantime, do you have any co-parenting tips? I’m all ears!
