Description

The Turn of The Blade is brought to you by BC Helicopters. We have conversations with our students and dig deep into the milestone moments that led them from their first ever memory of a helicopter to the moment they are now in learning how to fly. We pick apart the life choices that lead us to pursuing a dream we have fostered since a young age and how empowering it feels when you are pursuing something you feel you are meant to be doing.

Michael has a quiet determined and thoughtful way of approaching life. He’s spent most of it so far living on Beautiful Vancouver Island. After completing a business admin diploma with accounting option at Camosun he went on to finish a math degree at University of Victoria. Although he cautions someone to be very sure of their decision to learn to fly you’ll hear him say “I wish I had done this earlier”
My guest today Ben, is laid back, fun loving, yet ambitious. Ben laid a strong foundation for life pursuing a finance degree at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota as well as a Real Estate License and Real Estate Appraisal License in his following career. After some time he found his thoughts wandering from the job however and made the bold choice to pursue a future life as a helicopter pilot. We take a bit of a diversion into some injuries that Ben has sustained and even find a silver lining for the life of a training pilot. Please enjoy my conversation with Ben Dahl-McGlone.
