Medication can be great for some, and not so great for others. When it comes to ADHD medication, there is not only a bunch of side effects to deal with, but stigma as well.
From "everyone is a little bit ADHD" to "back in my day, that was just kids being lazy", there are a lot of myths surrounding ADHD.
Getting diagnosed with ADHD can be complicated. There are costs associated with getting tested as an adult, and also a heck of a lot of stigma attached to having a diagnosis. This episode features the stories of four adults with ADHD and their different experiences with getting diagnosed.
In 2019 I set out on a year long project to hear from people in the disabled community about their lives, interests and struggles. These stories are real and candid, and will hopefully give you a better understanding of what it's like to be disabled in the city.
