Psalm 23:5, tells us that the Lord prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. In that place, we may be surrounded by people or circumstances that are against us, but we are also surrounded by our God who gives us peace and comfort so we can be at peace.
The passage of time is one of those things that happens no matter what. We often believe that if we had a little more time we could be more successful and get more done. But time is the same for us all. Each one of us has only 24 hours a day to do whatever we are going to do that day. So what makes some people seem to get so much done when we feel we are always behind and failing to complete our daily tasks? That is what we look at today with 'Time Happens.'

Happy New Year everyone. This episode is number 200th for Starting Right. In it, we welcome the New Year with hearts filled with hope and joy at what God will do in us and with us this year.
It's New Year's Eve, and many of us are glad to see 2020 come to an end. We are looking forward to 2021 hoping and expecting it to be better for us. We can help ourselves get a good start to the new year when we look at what we want to carry forward in our lives and what we want to leave behind.

It took a long and winding pathway to get into our modern Christian culture, but the hymn, How Great Thou Art, has made a lasting impression and inspiration for us today.
The Magi were wise men from the east who came seeking Jesus. Why they came caused me to look again at how I approach Jesus and ready myself for the new year.
Merry Christmas everyone. Enjoy this day that we celebrate the birth of Jesus, God among us.
We have had many distractions this year, and on this Christmas Eve, we will look back at the amazing, uncluttered first Christmas which was filled with a very different kind of noise than the ones we have been dealing with this year.
