Donna Stewart-Hardway April 2nd 1933 - November 12th 2008 Donna grew up in the 1930s and was involved in different films over the years. She had been known...to claim she was in the production of "The Wizard of Oz" and had known Judy Garland. To this date from what we understand there has not been any piece of prop and or costume with her name on it at all. At the same time, that does mean her story is not ture.  She is a pleasant woman, and think about it and come to your own conclusion. The words of someone like you, with the wisdom you have is something everyone at a young age should really consider and take to heart. So many young people today, don't care what their parents or their grandparents think about their behavior. In that sense, listen to the words of wisdom of Donna and her work so many years ago, I think you'll really understand our commitment come to life as you listen to her speak about her days in Hollywood. This interview was conducted in 2006 prior to her death a few years before. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/support
Kurt Raymond is widely acknowledged as the Master Oz Impressionist. He has been given that title and for good reason too! He can impression the voices of the Scarecrow, the Lion, the Tin Man, and even... the Witch ! He has been acting for over 10 years and performs regularly with a critically acclaimed Judy Garland impersonator. This is the VERY FIRST audio interview that Kurt has given that is online! I was honored to actually be the first person to do this.  Kurt has had a love for the M-G-M movie "The Wizard of Oz", ever since he was young. He has loved the books growing up as a child and is just thrilled to work in such a fun and exciting career. He has performed live at the Greek Theater in CA. They were also part of Warner Brother's Official "Wizard of Oz" sing along tour. Kurt says it is "no fun to play evil", and it's very true! Kurt also on occasion, much publicity work for Warner Brothers in reference to the recent re-release of the movie, "The Wizard of Oz".  Kurt shares about his experiences performing, and even gives all of his Oz Impressions, for the VERY FIRST time online! Among other things, Kurt talks about how he was asked to be a part of the  Oz documentary "The Legacy of Oz", which is featured on "The Wizard of Oz", Collectors Disc DVD set in 2005, and other various releases of "The Wizard of Oz" over the years. You'll feel that you actually hearing the voices from the original movie...but you're not it's only Kurt Raymond. Kurt has also worked behind the scenes on a number of occasions working with Wizard of Oz stage plays and brings much excitement to all of those who hear him perform life. There is always much more to say on Kurt and his work, but find out for yourself and start listening to the interview. Just don't get too scared when you hear Kurt's impressions. Remember...he's only just pretending!  Thank you, so much Kurt for everything in your time spent doing this. You're a great guy. I think it was really cool, in the time Kurt spent during this interview. Kurt told me that he told all of his friends to not call him for a few hours, during the evening he and I were working.  He didn't want any interruptions, which I thought really nice of him to do what he did. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/support

Endorsed by many, including many notable people. One of the munchkins had worked with Elaine Horn. His words on Elaine and her work portraying a Young Judy as Dorothy says it all, as you will see endorsement below. Elaine shines as Dorothy - not just her portrayal but in her speech as well! In this very special lengthy interview, we hear many stories from Elaine about not only her work as Judy as Dorothy but the many oz events, appearances, and times she has had with the many wonderful Muchkins from the beloved 1939 Wizard of Oz film.  I have had the pleasure of working with Elaine Horn over the past three years. Some of the more notable events include publicity work for Warner Bros; this involved the re-release of the Wizard of Oz on DVD, OZ Festivals, and a performance of a scene from the original movie in San Jose, CA. In Particular, her Storybook Wizard of Oz performance has received critical acclaim. Elaine's portrayal of Dorothy matches very closely to that of Judy Garland; her resemblance and qualities are uncanny. She has always been very courteous and professional. Elaine shines as the best among all the Dorothy's we have ever worked with, since Judy Garland. - Jerry Maren.  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/support

Memories of Judy Garland - With Jim Bailey Jim Bailey appeared in over 70 television and movie roles, including appearances on Ally McBeal, Here's Lucy, Night Court, The Rockford Files, Switch, Vega$, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, The Ed Sullivan Show, The Carol Burnett Show, The Merv Griffin Show, Late Night with David Letterman, The Mike Douglas Show, The Dean Martin Show and The Joan Rivers Show. Bailey's fame began in the late 1960s when he created the "illusions" of singers Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, and Peggy Lee by vocally imitating them in his own operatically trained voice. Bailey appeared on concert stages throughout the world, including headlining in Las Vegas at hotels such as The Thunderbird, Caesars Palace, The Desert Inn, The Sands, Harrah's, The Dunes and performing at New York City's Carnegie Hall a total of nine times and The Palladium Theater in London a total of 17 times. Bailey also performed for the British Royal Family twice and for four United States presidents. Aaron Pacentine was very honored to get to talk to him for about an entire hour,  so these memories will always be remembered. He met Judy Garland several times, and even endorsed Jim Bailey, as this story is also a part of the interview. The interview was recorded in fall of 2007. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/support

The story of Elaine Elizabeth Presley is a remark-able one in on it's own. Hear for one of the first time in-depth before her book comes out, "KID OF THE KING" due later in 2020. Elaine was born in the United Kingdom and contrary to popular belief is the big sister to Lisa-Maire Presley.  She is indeed the daughter of Elvis & Priscilla Presley. She was hidden away in a sense, and lost. She has come home, confirmed her DNA and has even found and been able to connect to many other cousins, that share the same DNA as her.  They are some distant cousins, but they are all family to her. Elaine has always stated that nothing means more to her the legacy of her family, and her love for her Father, Elvis and Mother. There have been a number of claims in the past about others coming forward claiming to be a child of Elvis, or related to the family...of course just trying to get money from Graceland or Elvis Presley Enterprises. In this interview, we hear the true story of Elaine Presley as Aaron Pacentine interviews her. Both Elaine and I, hope that this interview clears a lot of things up as well as maybe the "haters" out there will listen and realize there is more to the Presley family then they think there is. Thank you for listening. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/familytv/support
