All FACT Up is live-streaming the National Whistleblower Appreciation Day 2020 being held by the National Whistleblower Center in Washington DCEach year, National Whistleblower Center honors whistleblowers and their contributions to our democracy and the rule of law. As the world continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic, racial injustice and climate change, this year’s event will focus on the role of whistleblowers in addressing each of these crises.Keynote addresses will be given by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA). Dr. Jason Piccolo has been in law enforcement for over twenty years.  Piccolo has patrolled trafficking corridors as a U.S. Border Patrol agent near the San Diego and Mexico Border and then went on to disrupt major narco-smuggling organizations to landing an assignment to the prestigious White House Security Council’s Human Smuggling Cell.Piccolo hosts the popular podcast The Protectors.  The Protectors brings true life stories from Law Enforcement, Military and Emergency Responders; our Nation’s “Protectors” AND those that support them. Protectors are those that run toward danger, the ones that put their lives on the line to keep us safe; here and abroad.Piccolo served in the United States Army from Private to Captain, including a tour in Iraq in 2006 to support the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Arabian Peninsula as their Anti-Terrorism Officer. Piccolo left military service in 2006 as an Infantry Captain after serving in the active and reserve components since 1993. Piccolo remains active as a mentor to veterans and spouses.Piccolo is an author, with two published books in circulation.  Piccolo has taught college since 2017 in subject’s ranging from computer forensics to homeland security to immigration law.  Piccolo earned a B.S. in Law Enforcement, a Master of Forensic Science, and a Doctorate in Strategic Security.  Piccolo is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP). 
Rory Riley Topping is an attorney, government relations consultant, and veterans advocate.  She has worked as an attorney for the Board of Veterans' Appeals, a law clerk for the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, Subcommittee Staff Director and Counsel for the House Veterans' Affairs Committee for retired-Chairman Jeff Miller (R-FL), and staff attorney for the National Veterans Legal Services Program.  She is a frequently cited authority on veterans matters in various local and national news publications.
Scott Davis is a recognized authority in the areas of government reform, environmental justice, and public policy advocacy with over twenty years of experience managing marketing initiatives, government relations and civic engagement campaigns.Honors and accomplishments include receiving two 2014 Common Cause Georgia Democracy awards including Whistleblower of the Year.Scott’s advocacy for our nation’s Veterans has been recognized by former US Representative Jeff Miller, Chairman of the House Veteran Affairs Committee (HVAC). Scott’s testimony before the in 2014 regarding delayed Veteran access to VA healthcare, resulted in legislative intervention that afforded over 100,000 Iraq and Afghanistan Combat Veterans their healthcare benefits.In the 2005 the Atlanta Journal & Constitution newspaper honored Scott with the ‘Heroes of Open Government award to educate community leaders about environmental hazards in DeKalb County, Georgia.
