A Podcast Update

2020-11-0403:40

Hello, welcome to Between The Mountains Adventure Podcast   That's right, we are now an 'adventure' podcast. The tiny decision to change from 'travel' to 'adventure' came from just looking at the natural path that this podcast has taken. The 5 must-do adventures, the interviews, the expeditions. They are all so fun to record and are going down a treat with you all! If you're an avid listener of the podcast, you're probably expecting an episode today! But, I'm just here to announce that we are moving to a 1 per week schedule. Doing 2 per week has been fantastic, but moving to 1 per week means I can really focus on the quality for all of you and maximising the time that it's released. So from now on, episodes will be released on Friday's 12noon UK local time. The focus of the episodes are going to be interviews, expeditions, the must-do adventures episodes and the occasional roadtrip too! So, if you have any of those stories to share, or fancy yourself an adventure expert in a place not yet covered, then please get in touch on btmtravelpod@gmail.com There's a load of other updates that have happened or are yet to happen too, which I'm really excited about! So much is going on behind the scenes with some great sponsorships and offers for you all coming up, but as far as you're all concerned here are a few bits and bobs. I want to hear more from you all, but I'll get on to that in a second. Firstly, I've gone through the website and, at time of recording, I have written a blog for nearly every single podcast uploaded with a few left to finish. We have official merchandise from T-Shirts to travel mugs if you want to get snazzy stuff. But, if you really want to support the show and get some benefits in return, I've revamped the Patreon site with three affordable tiers. Go and check them out and see what you think! Like I said, I want to hear from you all, and you can do that in a couple of ways. Please get in touch either on Instagram or on email (btmtravelpod@gmail.com) and just chat. Let me know where you're from, what kind of travels and adventures you've done! Ask me your questions. Let me know what countries, expeditions, or people you'd love to see on the podcast too and I'll see what I can do! You never know, I might read it out on the following week's podcast. Lastly, I just really wanted to thank all of you for listening and for sharing with your friends. Please keep doing that to help us grow! On Friday it is the 75th episode and it's just crazy to think that after starting in April with a really budget microphone, no music or editing and no clue what I'm doing! Now, we've got a better microphone, great music by Ali Finneran… and still no clue what I'm doing! But seriously, thank you all so much for your attention. It really means so much! Join in with the community. Instagram/Twitter/Facebook and our new Facebook Page to share your own photos and videos here. Let me hear from your stories and questions on bmtravelpod@gmail.com, and I'll see you in the next episode! https://betweenthemountains.org/
It's been a crazy set of months since launching, and we are still powering ahead with our 2 per week schedule. Episodes feature from across nearly every continent and travel style.

Well, we'll dive into it within the podcast and the inspiring, stop-dead-in-your-tracks moment and reason behind it. Well, my apologies for the extremely long, unplanned hiatus. The same day I announced my Denali plans, something came up which has resulted in my becoming - happily - a full-time single Father 7 days a week. The issue is still ongoing but we're back, baby!  The next two episodes were recorded a long time ago and I never got round to releasing them in June (sorry to James and Laura!) but here they are, with new episodes coming fortnightly from October!  James Dyer is this week's guest, and he is an incredibly accomplished man! Hear us discuss everything from the jungle, to the arctic, to leadership.
