Your violin won't stay in tune — and it's probably not your ear. If your A string drifts sharp the moment you start playing, tuning it again won't fix it. In this video I walk you through the four real reasons a violin won't hold pitch — in the exact order you should check them — and then I show you how to tune by ear with open-string double stops, so you're not dependent on an app to know whether you're in tune.
