Description
Welcome to church! Every week at The King’s Church Mid-Sussex we prepare a message from The Bible. We believe Jesus is the answer to every question and the want of every heart. We hope and pray that this message will help you connect with God and grow in faith and understanding.
The King’s Church Mid-Sussex is a church based in Burgess Hill. We exist to love God, love people and see lives and communities transformed.

The grace of God helps us have a right view of ourselves and one another, and gives us the ability to reconcile our differences.
In Acts 10, God speaks to Peter through a vision that challenged his cultural, historical and ethnic prejudices. It led to the first gentile conversions. Where might we have unconscious biases based on our history and traditions that stop us being bridge builders for the gospel?
Through unpacking Ephesians 2:11-22, we see that the cross is the place where true reconciliation is found and the local church is the place where reconciled relationships grow.
We launch our news series as Jim paints a big picture of why we carry a vision for a reconciled church. Because of the gospel, our world, our church and our witness.
This Sunday, we welcomed Executive Director Nigel Goodenough from Hope Into Action (HIA), one of our partner charities. Nigel shared about the work of HIA and introduced tenants who shared their stories.
At the start of this term, Jim shares some church news and encourages us to be alert to what God is doing in the 'present time' and the opportunities it gives us to walk in the way of Jesus.
The final message in our series on Elijah. We see how he was 'taken' from this earth, and how Elisha is commissioned to continue what Elijah began. And, as always, we'll see how this is all about Jesus.
From Naboth's vineyard to the cross, this passage shows how desire corrupts, power abuses, and injustice cries out, yet also how Jesus brings true justice and mercy.
As we carry on our series on Elijah, we meet his successor, Elisha. How will Elisha respond to God's call on his life, and what can we learn from it 3000 years later?
After the dramatic victory at Mount Carmel, Elijah finds himself a wanted man and runs 100 miles to escape Queen Jezebel. Exhausted, afraid and depressed, Elijah is ready to give up the fight. But God gently restores him and leads him towards Mount Horeb, where He encounters the Presence of God.
The big dramatic showdown on a mountain between two G/gods
We continue our series looking at the life of Elijah, today we find out more about King Ahab and are introduced to Obadiah. What can we learn from their different responses to God's word?
Elijah moves from a place of peace through a place of provision to a place of power.
In this final message of the series we look at a thread to grasp onto, one that is long enough to reach you and strong enough to carry you.
What does it look like to be part of building God's family in the local church? In this message we explore how the Bible is the story of God's desire to build a loving family here on the earth, who will rule and love like He does, so that the family can grow well.
The Big Story of the Bible is a story of worship. Everyone is created to worship - the question is who or what we will worship. Will we love God will all our heart, or will our affections be placed elsewhere?
A thread for the next generation with our guest speaker Jeevs Manaktala: pursuing God’s presence, living by faith, and becoming a Spirit-filled, charismatic people.
In this next message from our Threads series, Dan Roger and Daniella Kunnath guide us through the Bible - from the Old Testament to the New - exploring how the Holy Spirit is revealed throughout Scripture as our advocate, counsellor, comforter, and the one who equips God's people.
Is God interested in what we do with our time? Does our labour matter to him? Or is God just keen on 'holy' activity like church, or helping the poor?
In this message we explore the covenant thread running through the Bible seeing how God ensures our relationship with Him by a new covenant which we remember each time we share communion.
