We are kind of obsessed with this book and we may or may not have sat in a vegan restaurant for an hour talking about it. Small note: I mention here that lil nas x had a court date the next day.... We talk about Catch-22!! We LOVED this book but the question still looms: was the sexism part of the satire? All that and more in this riveting take on a book whose author would probably drop dead if he knew these teenage girls liked it so much. Note that my phone overheated in the sun and it cut us off but we were mostly done anyways. If I were you I would listen to this at like 2x playback speed because I speak kind of slowly and somberly. And it is long. But what can I say? It’s because I have a lot of feelings about this book that I don’t even think I really articulated well, and I don’t think I ever will because it’s like that important to me? Also I know I said the “rapid-fire” whatever was cut down from ten minutes.. and then I proceeded to talk for ten minutes. Just know I really tried. Isn’t it weird and really lucky that I just happened to find a time capsule in 2020 that was labeled “to be opened in 2020”???? Also if anyone has any information on where I can find those American Girl books plz let me know
