Quitting is for losers, you need to finish what you started.... I am sure you've heard that before right?! Most of us grew up with a perception that, when it comes to work, you should focus on one thing and pretty much do it for the rest of your life. Well… right now I am at business No. 3 and I have no plans to stop anytime soon. Why? Because I am a multi-passionate, serial entrepreneur. In today's podcast episode I want to give you permission to shift your business, to pivot, to change things up. Changing your mind is not a bad thing, it doesn’t mean that you’re not taking your business seriously. It simply means that your passion, your fire is changing and you want to go after it. My guest, Giorgia Guazzarotti is a multi-passionate entrepreneur who after years of starting niche businesses and shutting them down when the passion disappeared, decided to incorporate all her passions into one coaching business. Today she helps other creative and multi-passionate women create thriving businesses without niching down and overcoming all the old stories and limiting beliefs that keep them stuck and broke. Because most of Giorgia’s clients come to her confused and overwhelmed, she has put together an amazing free guide that takes you through a process of how to identify and combine your passions into a business and get you clear on your mission you want your business to fulfill. This guide will also help you identify which passions fit best into your business and can help you deliver your services, and which passions are more in the background, supporting your business. So make sure to grab this amazing guide by heading over to The Treasure within. For more info and to connect with Giorgia, visit her website The Treasure within, her Instagram and Facebook. So todays' Christine Means Business Podcast guest, Fabienne Lindholm is just perfect to cover many topics but we focused on self-confidence and self-development while running a business. We find all these little things that are diverting us away from what our purpose is, from what our main message is. Today's episode covers: Why finding your voice is so important The subconscious diversion - what exactly is it? Why having a plan is important OGSM framework How you can help empower women all over the world Another passion for Fabienne is empowering women all over the world and bringing awareness to gender equality. Currently, she is working on a project with a goal to raise funds for scholarships for young girls coming from Africa and Middle East, to come to Maastricht, the United World College to finalize their studies. I have a confession to make! I didn’t think about mindset probably two or three years into my business. I just didn’t get it. It literally wasn't on my radar. The first time I even heard the word “mindset” was when a friend of mine told me about Tony Robbins. I guess he was one of my first touchpoints with this world. After that, there was no going back and I started my journey of understanding what mindset actually is and how important it is for a business owner. In this episode of Christine Means Business, I am excited to welcome Heather Hakes. Heather is a mindset coach, speaker, and author of Take the Leap. She specializes in helping others get out of their own way by awakening their infinite potential to create their ideal life. We discuss the 80-20 rule and how any success in life, especially business, is 80% mindset and 20% strategy and we also look at how to become aware of your subconscious blocks Make sure to catch the full episode! Currently, Heather is offering a free video training on How to Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind because, in her own words, your mind is 100% the cause of every effect in your life. Think of your world as a projection of your internal thoughts, beliefs, habits and behaviors. If you want to change anything externally - it's an inside job. So make sure you don’t miss this amazing opportunity. 🎁GET your FREE TRAININGS BY Christine: https://store.christinemeansbusiness.com I Help Entrepreneurs Take Their Businesses Online Or Optimize It And Become Successful As Quickly And Efficiently As Possible With Integrity And Elegance. Audio is very direct and it's very faithful, the voice is something that you cannot fake. This was one of the reasons why I started my podcast Christine Means Business. And along this podcasting journey, I discovered the true magic of podcasting and the power it has in growing your business. This was the topic that I discussed with my first guest of 2022, Kevin Palmieri. Kevin and his partner Alan are the hosts of Next Level University, a podcast helping you reach the next level in your life, love, health, and wealth.   When it comes to podcasting, one of the most important things is consistency. Even after 842 episodes, Kevin and Alan still record 7 episodes per week. They batch them and record 6 each Monday and they record their guest episode later in the week. Make sure you catch this episode to find out more about how you can grow your business through podcasting!
Most of us start our own business with the same idea: if I'm going to start this thing, I want to do multiple six-figures/ seven-figures at some point. However, when I first started my business, scaling was really scary to me. I realized that the reason why I was holding back was that I was terrified of having a team, having people to rely on me for payroll. Now, I understand that there are loads of different models, and the key is to scale in a way that works for you because scaling is not a “one size fits all” strategy. I have the pleasure of talking to Stephanie Blake on today's episode of Christine Means Business. Stephanie is a business strategist and scaling expert, who helps women scale their service-based businesses to six-plus figures while keeping them in the CEO seat and working less than 20 hours a week. We discuss three important parts of business: Customize your scaling plans and growth strategies to your life You need to take yourself out of the equation and put yourself in the CEO seat Stay true to yourself and don’t follow somebody else's business process Make sure to catch this episode! 🎁GET your FREE TRAININGS BY Christine: https://store.christinemeansbusiness.com I Help Entrepreneurs Take Their Businesses Online Or Optimize It And Become Successful As Quickly And Efficiently As Possible With Integrity And Elegance. When I  first started my business, I had no idea of the spiritual world. I started with all the marketing and tech stuff, but I kept hearing the word “mindset”  over and over again. At that time, I didn't take it seriously because how is that going to help my bottom line? That had nothing to do with hot core economics. But as I started doing all these different things and making all these adjustments, nothing seemed to work. So, I decided to tap into the spiritual, and as I did that, I started to see things turn into place. In today's episode of Christine Means Business, I have the pleasure to talk to holistic physical therapist, human MRI, speaker, medical and business intuitive success coach Vivian S. De Guzman. Vivian uses her knowledge and her intuition, which has proven to be extremely sharp, to help others with money magnetism. So today, she shares with us the four stages of our spiritual journey (Awakening, Discovery, Surrender, and Flow) and what we need to know about our prosperity key in order to focus on our business journey and build that successful business we've been dreaming about. In the past decade, our society has become very aware of valuations and how and why they are important. Now, you might think that the valuation and worth are terms reserved for fancy startups and big companies, but you’d be wrong. A business is a business. It's a living, breathing entity with money, people and problems. Big or small, it doesn't matter. In today's episode, I am joined by Bharat Kanodia. Bharat has been in business valuation since 2000 and has signed off on over 4’000 valuation opinions in real estate, industrial, personal property, and financial assets, worth over 2.6 trillion. Bharat and I talk about - 3 Ways to assessing the Value of your Business - 2 important steps you need to take if you are planning to sell your business in the future. Wayyyy back in my 9-to-5 days, I worked in the academic publishing industry.  Well, technically, I was an unpaid intern. But somehow, it was still my job to filter through the slush pile. Now if you don’t have any experience in the publishing world, let me tell you what that means.  Basically, the slush pile is a set of manuscripts that are sent by hopeful authors to fancy publishing houses. Authors send in their manuscripts and cross their fingers that the old white guy running the company will select their book. But the reality is that it’s college students and interns sorting through the slush pile and deciding which books are worth considering and which ones go straight to the bin.  So, um, sorry if I accidentally trashed the work of the next great novelist during my internship!  It’s no wonder that becoming a published author seems so out of reach for us “ordinary” folks. When I was working on my first book, I certainly thought that it would be a crazy endeavor where I’d have to find an agent, submit proposals, and then pray that the publisher would choose my book.  Luckily, there are alternatives to the traditional publishing model now. So your journey from “ordinary” entrepreneur to published author (oo la la!) might be a lot easier than you think. Today on the podcast, I’m joined by Morgan Gist MacDonald, the founder of Paper Raven Books.  With more than 10 years of experience in writing, editing, and publishing books, Morgan leads the Paper Raven Books team in developing the best practices for publishing successfully in the modern, digital age. I can say that with confidence because I’ve worked with Morgan multiple times to get books published (including my new book that’s coming out next year!). If you’ve ever dreamed of being an author of any kind, you’ll want to learn from Morgan’s genius. In this episode, we talk about… - The different options that authors have for publishing in the modern, digital era (including options that don’t involve the dreaded slush pile!) - The benefits of self-publishing (and how you can use your book to get clients, become a fiction writer, or spread the message about a major movement) - The 4 phases of the author’s journey (and why having a smart launch strategy is just as important as having a well-written book!) Morgan is a total pro at all things writing and publishing books, so don’t miss this episode. To check out more business tips check out: https://www.christinemeansbusiness.com
All of us entrepreneurs start somewhere. Most of the time, I work with online coaches and online businesses, but recently I had an opportunity to have an amazing conversation with an “offline” entrepreneur, Ciara Stockeland. I brought Ciara on the podcast to talk specifically about surviving the bumpy ride of the entrepreneurial roller coaster — especially when it comes to navigating failure and success. Ciara shared her personal story of leaving the nonstop hustle of retail behind to create a brand new business model. There are lots of lessons to learn just from her story, but we also talked about… Why it can be hard to pivot when your status quo isn’t “that bad” (and why sometimes you have to be brave and do it anyway!) How her online coaching practice came to be (even though all she’d ever known was brick and mortar “offline” business) Tips for managing the crazy highs of success and the dark lows of failure (so that you can actually learn from your experiences and create a business you’ll thrive in) Ciara’s best advice for navigating burnout, surviving business growing pains, and making sense of your numbers (without having to become a full-on accounting nerd 🤓) Ciara told me she has a lot of grey hairs from all the stress of entrepreneurship, but I think the lessons learned are more than worth it! (I hope she agrees 😅) If you want to learn from those lessons (and save yourself a few greys in the process), check out this podcast episode. There are basically a bajillion resources out there for how to market your online business. Take any one small piece of marketing (like just Instagram Reels or just funnels in Flodesk) and you’ll find gurus, consultants, courses, tiny offers, ultimate guides, YouTube videos….. But when it comes to understanding the financial side of your business, it seems like you’re completely out of luck unless you just so happened to study accounting. Well, guess what. Most of us have nooo clue what’s going on with the money side of our businesses. I’m thrilled to have Michelle Cooper on the podcast to teach you the business foundations of all things money. Michelle is the High Priestess of Profit. As the CEO of Alchemy Academy, she supports impact-driven entrepreneurs to have highly profitable, sustainable businesses while creating the peace of mind that comes from a solid financial foundation. Michelle and I go deep in this episode as we talk about… Why releasing shame around money is essential work (even if your financials are a total mess!) The work that you need to do with money vs the types of work that are best left to professionals How to get clear on your real numbers (this includes money coming in, money going out, and your break-even expenses) Of course, we finished with the juiciest question: is your money mindset keeping your bank account small?
