Buying More Stuff Won't Make you Happy! That's what I wanted to call this show, but it's too long. Most of us are pretty aware of GMO-free and organic foods...but what about the other products we use in the course of a day? How do they affect the environment? The wine we drink, the flowers we put on the table, the soap we use to bathe, and the lotion we use afterwards...everything has an impact. I hope to educate and inspire YOU to make small changes in your daily habits, so we can, together, shift the trajectory of climate change. Learn about sustainable living, sustainability, global warming, and climate change.

most of global warming problems are caused by the production of stuff, and although we might be tempted to point fingers at government, big business, or other countries, we really need to look at ourselves in the mirror because we're the ones buying all the stuff being produced over in China and other countries. On this episode, I'll share some data and ideas for what you can do instead of shopping!

You're probably familiar with organic farming, but what about biodynamic farming? Bill Steele explains the biodynamic farming techniques he uses to grow grape varieties historically associated with the Rhône River wine region of France: Syrah and Grenache for red wine, and Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne for white wine. The farm, located in southern Oregon, uses all the goodness of organics, plus more. They don’t use anything synthetic, toxic or harmful. Instead they build up the soil with micronutrients, allow beneficial plants to grow between the vine rows, and encourage other creatures to live in and around the vineyard.
