Reverse
In our 10th episode, Sam and Josh return to their normal format, picking two wildly different movies. Josh goes with the Clive Barker classic "Nightbreed," while Sam picks a defining moment of 90s culture, the iconic "Clueless."
Josh and Sam tried to take a vacation to a cabin in the woods, and that experience -- which, sadly, lacked any evil books or diaries to read -- inspired them to do a cabin special. This episode, Josh chose the original cult classic, "The Evil Dead," while Sam went with the podcast's namesake, "The Cabin in the Woods."
It's a post-apocalyptic extravaganza! This episode, Josh chose Mad Max: Fury Road, which stresses Sam out, and Sam chose Terminator: Salvation, which Josh ranks near the bottom of its franchise. It's an episode full of disagreements!
This week, Sam's pick was the new Netflix rom-com "The Lovebirds," starring Kumail Nanjiani and Issa Rae, a delightful movie that we discuss first this time around to help balance out the intense horror of Josh's pick, the infamous Cannibal Holocaust.
Sam and Josh take a break from watching movies this episode to discuss an entire television series, "Star Trek: The Next Generation." Long-time fan Josh and newcomer to the franchise Sam give their thoughts on the series as a whole, as well as discussing a number of standout episodes
This episode, Josh gives Sam a break from all of the death and destruction of the first few episodes, choosing an animated childhood cult classic from the 80s in "The Secret of NIMH." Sam, meanwhile, went with 2006's "Last Holiday," starring Queen Latifah and LL Cool J, a rom-com involving terminal brain diseases and living your best life
This week, Josh chose an eerily-prescient movie about what a deadly virus could do to the world, Neil Marshall's "Doomsday." And Sam chose the Charlize Theron-Seth Rogen rom-com "Long Shot," which answers the question 'what would it take for America to have a female president?'
Three episodes in, and Sam and Josh are sharing their favorite movies of all time. Josh kicks it off with the original slasher classic "A Nightmare on Elm Street," and Sam follows with the pre-Marvel Robert Downey Jr./Marisa Tomei rom-com "Only You." Josh gushes about a bloody bed volcano, and Sam plans a future vacation to Italy
It's our Cameron Diaz spectacular! Kind of. Sam chose the 2010 Tom Cruise/Cameron Diaz spy parody "Knight and Day," so Josh chose 1998's dark comedy, "Very Bad Things," also featuring Diaz. Permanent damage may or may not have been done to Sam with this one.
In our first episode, Josh and Sam discuss the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake -- a perfect (or questionable) movie to watch during a pandemic quarantine -- as well as the latest X-men movie, 2019's Dark Phoenix.
