Description

This is the podcast where we talk about "The (Not So) Little Things" or the little things in life we take for granted that actually create a large domino effect in who we are, who we become, what we value and what moves us to action in our relationships and in our overall physical, emotional and mental health. I want to use this podcast to provide a network of strangers who are better off being friends, after having stepped nervously and carefully into one another’s shoes.

In this episode, I discuss COVID-19 (the current 2020 pandemic), coping with a change in your plans and faith beyond what appears permanent, but is actually temporary. This episode is meant to encourage you as you and many others navigate worldly uncertainties.
In this episode of The (Not So) Little Things podcast with Dr. Miller, I sat down with Rachel J., who is a Caucasian female, an Occupational Therapist (OT) and the wife of a police officer. In this podcast, Rachel J. and I discuss race in America and how the death of Ahmad Arbury and so many others like him can create an overwhelming emotional response in the black and white communities, but sometimes for different reasons. This podcast also discusses how race and culture can affect healthcare access, as well as patient outcomes in today's United States (U.S) Healthcare System.
In this episode, the host, Dr. Lauren Miller, talks about her reasons behind creating "The (Not So) Little Things" podcast. Dr. Miller is a physical therapist who values human interaction, human connection and the overall human experience. This podcast was designed to deepen our understanding of one another, to decrease the distance between strangers, to encourage self-awareness and to provide a safe place to discuss race, marriage, love and other topics that develop our values and beliefs.
