"This conference was the first time we’ve ever done it virtually. We had talked about it for a while – and there aren’t many silver linings to this pandemic, particularly in aging services – but it pushed us into the virtual world which is good" -Stacey Prohaska Phoebe has served the older adult population for over 117 years and provides professional development for their care workers and residents through annual events. Because of the pandemic, Phoebe switched their 2021 annual conference from in-person to virtual and used Conference Tracker to host it. The event featured Dr. Ruth Westheimer as the Keynote Speaker. It also featured 17 other speakers including Robert Torres, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and Jane Fleishman, a TEDx Talk presenter. All speakers and sessions were streamed live from different locations. In this two-part interview with Stacey Prohaska, Executive Director for the Office of Phoebe Ministries’ Philanthropy Services, we discuss the planning and execution of their successful virtual conference. "This was my first time working with it. I think it was so easy – even for our participants who were having some trouble with the tech part of it – it was really easy to walk them through how to download the app... and how easy it was from there to help them navigate the tabs." -Tina Plank. Looking to make sure their online event was professional and engaging, while still showcasing partners and sponsors, committee members for the Tennessee Community HIV-AIDS Partnership (TNCHAP) turned to Conference Tracker. "Every year we have a community event where we provide entertainment,  awareness, and food. This year we decided as a committee to hold it virtually which was a little nerve-racking, but also exciting because with the virtual aspect we were able to get a lot more engagement." -Tina Plank.
