Sheeran defended himself by claiming Macklemore's contract was with the promoter, not him, and said he wouldn't abandon fans, crew, or other acts—but Jimmy argues that Sheeran did abandon Macklemore and is complicit in censorship.  Jimmy contends all art is political, neutrality in injustice favors the oppressor, and Sheeran cannot claim to be apolitical while letting a billionaire silence pro-Palestine speech. Guest host Garland Nixon and Hard Lens Media's Kit Cabello discuss Macklemore being removed from Ed Sheeran's stadium tour after shouting "Free Palestine" at a recent MetLife Stadium show. Macklemore posted on Instagram that Robert Kraft threatened to block Sheeran's show from Gillette Stadium and rallied other venue owners, forcing Sheeran to choose between keeping Macklemore and retaining access to their venues.  At the same time the Israeli American Council petitioned to have Macklemore dropped, while Pink and Boy George also criticized him, all of which the hosts frame as billionaire and Israel-linked censorship of artistic free speech. They argue that if venue owners can silence Macklemore for pro-Palestine speech, they can do the same to any artist who steps out of line, making it a free-speech issue for everyone. In this segment Jimmy discusses a new report that UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu roughly 10 days before October 7, 2023, that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was planning a major operation that could destabilize the region. The report, published by Haaretz and based on reporting by Israeli journalists Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval, says the warning came during a reported 45-minute phone call, while Netanyahu's office has strongly denied that the call or warning occurred and the UAE has declined to confirm or deny the specific conversation.  Jimmy connects the report to earlier reporting that Israeli officials had obtained Hamas's attack plan before October 7 and to broader questions about intelligence failures, while he mocks late-to-the-party Piers Morgan for being shocked and outraged by these reports. The segment concludes with Jimmy discussing an upcoming appearance on Morgan's program to debate skepticism of the official 9/11 narrative.
