Way before COVID-19 came around, Dr. Stasha Gominak was discussing the role of vitamin D for our sleep, mental well-being, immunity, microbiome, bone and skin health, and prevention of chronic disease. Dr. Stasha Gominak is a Neurologist who left her practice to focus solely on treating neurological illness by improving sleep.  Our body repairs itself through sleep, yet sleep problems have become an epidemic since the 80s when everyone started wearing sunscreens and started spending more time indoors.  Vitamin D is well-known as the "bone vitamin or the sun vitamin," but in reality vitamin D is a hormone that affects multiple parts of our body, but we do make it through sun exposure.  Dr. Gominak provides a thorough understanding of the correlation between vitamin D, vitamin B , the microbiome, and sleep disorders. You may discover that your insomnia, fatigue, nightly leg pains or burning, weight gain, mood or memory problems, high blood pressure, reproductive or fertility problems, or autoimmune disorders, are the result of these vitamin deficiencies, gut imbalances, and poor sleep! She also discusses that the similar issues are happening in childhood resulting in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and even autism. He is well-known for his role in the Forks Over Knives documentary and his revolutionary, scientifically proven book, How to Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease, both advocate for whole foods plant based diet to prevent and reverse disease. Dr, Esselstyn is an American physician who has been associated with the Cleveland clinic since 1968, and presently directs the cardiovascular prevention and reversal program at The Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute. In this episode, he explains the underlying cause of heart disease, and all underlying vascular diseases, such as diabetes vascular dementia, high blood pressure, and Alzheimers. It is well-known that most diabetics die from heart disease rather than diabetes itself. He says it is damage to the endothelial vessels and loss of nitric oxide that contributes to these diseases. Ep. 24:  When I wanted to learn more about the nitric oxide as it relates to aging and disease, I did not realize I was consulting with the world's leading authority and expert, Dr. Nathan Bryan! Dr. Bryan is an international leader in molecular medicine and nitric oxide biochemistry. In addition, Dr. Bryan was actually the first person to describe "nitrite and nitrate as indispensable nutrients required for optimal cardiovascular health!" Steve Emt is a true inspiration. He experienced a tragic accident at the age of 25 and woke up two days later to learn he would never walk again.
