Distinction between Israel and the Church Matthew 10:5-23: Jesus sending out the 12 Apostles Matthew was written to the Jews - reveals their future “I’ve only come for the lost sheep of Israel” - if His people get it, it will spread Personal belief in Christ will save you in any dispensation 3 entities Israel The Church Redeemed Nations of the world The end of the Kingdom announcement - only supposed to go to the Jews Difference between two parts of the of the chapter (between verse 15 and 16) - There is a gap - Parenthetical time (Acts 2) Ephesians 3:1-7 Jesus did not teach church teacher - he taught some principles that would work in any dispensation First part - do not get to Gentiles, Second part - go to the Gentiles - shows that it is different times Revelation 1 - Synagogue of Satan - Apposing Christ God always planned to use the Jewish Nation to save the world - Scripture, Son of God and Influence

The distinction between the church and Israel 3 earthly entities - 1: Israel 2: The Church 3: Gentile Nations The word of God is God's word - He is true to His word Just because we thump the bible, doesn't mean we can trump the bible. Comparison of Old and New Scripture - Just because it old or accept does not mean that it is correct Certainty and Passion does not equal truth - we can maintain a spiritual high all the time Peter vs. Paul - Peter did not know about the Church at first Paul was chosen to go to the Gentile people and teach the Gospel - "Christ did not send me to baptize" The Great Commission - teach them what I taught you Matthew 5 - beatitudes

Dispensationalism Denied Leads to Disillusionment and Defeat (The need to be a Dispensationalist): To truly understand the word of God - need Dispensationalism Difference between the Church and Israel  Anything that we know is true comes from Jesus through other people - For example: Paul 1 Corinthians 1:10 - "perfectly joined together in the same mind and the same judgement" - Similar to the Tower of Babel: getting along fine when they all spoke the same language - When you don't speak the same language there is division - The Church is speaking different languages and we need to come together through Dispensationalism 1 Corinthians 2:6-16 - There are great things ahead but God has revealed deeper things beyond salvation through the spirit  Many differences in Churches today - this is bad compared to what it should be - need the organization of Paul 2 Timothy 1:11 - "And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher." Parachurch (a ministry that operates outside of the confines of a traditional church) - Are they doing it the way that God laid out through the apostle Paul?

Jesus did Kingdom teaching during the gospel period - speaking to Israel/not church teaching Matthew 5:17 Those who are not my people will become my people - talking about the Gentiles not the church "Christ fulfills the law" - No, the law will still be used in the lives of the saved Jews Jeremiah 31 - New covenant - Not going to teach each other to be saved because everyone is already saved - not teaching salvation Zechariah 8:23 - Need to know how you live in this Kingdom period Matthew 5:13 - Gospel of the Kingdom - addressed to the Jews Salt of the earth - Salt is meant to preserve - but if it looses its flavor there is no seasoning - keep up with your time with the Lord Nothing brings people in like love - Love the Savior first Jeremiah 31:23
